Hi Guys! Ask ko if madali ba mkahanap ng work as RN in Ontario once you passed the the CRNE without taking their bridging program?

Hello Po!

Alin po mas mabilis yung eligibility assessment, RPN or RN?

And wala po akong Canadian Visa, OK lng po ba yun?

IELTS ko po L-6.5, R-7, W-6.5, S-7.5. Meron din po ako IELTS na mas mataas yung score sa listening, pwde po bang i-combine as long as di pa expired yung results? ;D :D :)

@ bax RN

hi!!

ahmm for your first question i think it should be hospital paid experience, kasi on the process of the application they will need some docs i think from your employer, but if you dont have paid hospital experience its still okay to apply for an assessment...

yung sa assessment based on my experience and sa kakilala ko i think mas mabilis ang RPN,mga 1 year or less lang ang RPN ang RN i think more than a year..

ok lang na mag pa assess na kahit nasa pinas ka palang, but i supposed on process na papers mo papunta ng canada right?? after the assessment within 2 years lang i think ang given time for you to write the exam once your eligible..

sabi nila medyo mahirap nga lalo nat canadian experience ang hinahanap but not so sure think positive nalang ;D ;D

goodluck

offered yung course na yun that sem etc. Pero alam ko pag full time niyo po kukunin sandali lang, tumatagal yung iba kasi part time study
saka siyempre trabaho din.

Hi po, it took a total of 10 months. It should have been only 8 months, but it took so long for me to finish my BET because I had no idea how to do it, and if
what I was doing was right haha. Goodluck po ulit sa lahat.

Onga pala from what I heard (hearsay lang po) a number of RN jobs are being replaced by RPN jobs to cut cost here in Ontario, or at least in Toronto. Tiyagain niyo
nalang po yung bridge after niyo mag RPN kasi at least makakapasok na kayo sa hospital or institution as RPN. Tapos pag RN na kayo eh internal applicant na
kayo dun sa institution, which is usually the priority of employers for hiring.

In April, the College will randomly select about 600 nurses (400 General and Transitional Class members and 200 NPs) for Practice Assessment, the second component of its Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Letters will be sent by courier, notifying them of their selection.

Nurses in the General, Transitional and Extended Classes become eligible for Practice Assessment after their second year of registration. Once a member of the General or Transitional Class has completed Practice Assessment, the member is removed from the selection pool for 10 years. Once NPs have participated, they are exempt from the process for five years, but they will eventually be reselected for Practice Assessment after the five-year exemption is over.

Nurses selected for Practice Assessment must submit their Learning Plans to the College and write a multiple-choice objective test based on this year’s selected practice documents, which are Ethics and Infection Prevention and Control. This test will assess a nurse’s knowledge and application of these practice standards. NPs must also write a multiple-choice test based on the Nurse Practitioners practice standard and the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Core Competency Framework.

This year, nurses who have been randomly selected will be mailed a paper test to complete at home. To help prepare these nurses, the College will host an informational teleconference and develop a Practice Assessment guide that will include sample test questions.

For more information about additional assessment requirements for NPs, and the implementation of the third component of QA, Peer Assessment, see the spring issue of The Standard.

HOPE this helps

regards
*MNI*
