right now im in the Philippines but scheduled to come back on March 20, sa Canada ka ba ngayon? kelan ka pa nag apply sa CNO?i think this is a new req for foreign nurses,wala nmang ganito akong nakikita or nababasa before,well I plan to go on with the evaluation.

oo andito ako sa canada.may 2012 pa ako nagapply so siguro i will go with the evaluation too kasi ganun din naman kung pipiliin ko ang option 2.

Hi guys. I requested an application package around late October last year but didnt accomplish it right away. Does anyone of you have any idea if the CNO has updated the application form? Shall I request another package? Baka kasi Hindi nila ako padalhan na kasi sa file nila eh nag request na ako before.

We are writing to provide you with information regarding the evaluation of your nursing education.

Upon initial review of your application, the College of Nurses of Ontario (College) has determined that you have not completed an approved or equivalent nursing program. As a result, you are required to complete an evaluation of your nursing knowledge, skill and judgment and to successfully complete any additional education and/or training identified by the evaluation.
The evaluation will take place on ***** , or a subsequent date at:

The Centre for the Evaluation of Health Professionals Educated Abroad
80 Bloor Street West
Toronto, ON M5S 2V1

The evaluation consists of a short, multiple choice written test and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), during which you will be rotated through simulated, scripted clinical situations using trained actors.
Upon completion of the evaluation, CEHPEA will forward your results to the College for review. Once the College has reviewed the results, you will be advised in writing about whether you meet the nursing education requirement or if you are required to complete additional education and/or training to meet the nursing education requirement.

Further information regarding the evaluation can be found on the College's website at

You now have one of three options to proceed with your application:

1. Complete the evaluation by CEHPEA - Check “Attend for CEHPEA
evaluation” on the enclosed form and then sign and return the form to the College. Once
we have received your request to attend for the evaluation, you will be contacted by
CEHPEA regarding the online registration process and the date you will be required to
attend. An administrative fee of $200.00, payable to CEHPEA, is required at the time of
completing the online registration, which will reserve your scheduled date and time for
the evaluation. This administrative fee will be refunded to you upon completion of the
evaluation. Please note that selecting this option acknowledges your willingness to attend
the evaluation. To facilitate the process, the College and CEHPEA will exchange
information relating to the evaluation.

2. Request a review of your application by the Registration Committee – You
have the right to request a review of the decision requiring you to complete this
evaluation. Check “Review by Registration Committee” on the enclosed form and then
sign and return the form to the College. Once we have received your request, the College
will advise you of the date upon which your application will be referred to the
Registration Committee for review.

3. Withdraw your application – Check “Request for Withdrawal” on the enclosed
form and then sign and return the form to the College if you are no longer interested in
pursuing registration with the College. Once we have received request for withdrawal,
you will receive a letter from the College confirming that your application has been
closed. The withdrawal of your application would not, in any way, affect your right to
make a new application. Any new application for registration would be evaluated based
on the registration requirements in effect at the time of that application.

hi! is it okay to ask kung ilang years ang experience mo? and how long did it take for you to complete the assessment? thanks!

hi guys! nag apply po ako for RN assessment sa Ontario and binigyan ako ng form for verification at saka yung sa employment. wala ako experience, kailangan ko pa ba mag submit nung request form from employment/agency? medyo sure ako na hindi na pero gusto ko lang masigurado para hindi ma delay papers ko. saka aabutin ba talaga ng 1 year mahigit para sa assessment? thank you!

Hi Pat-ricia! May I ask kung ilang years ang experience mo ? worried lang kasi ako dahil wala ako experience and baka eto ang bagong requirement ng CNO para sa IENs hay.. thanks!!

Hi, Tawagan mo nalang CNO or mag email ka para sure baka kasi meron sila updated form ngayong 2013 kasi marami silang bago dinagdagan na requirements.

Hi Mikaella! thank you sa reply ok, at least sure na ako ^_^ kaka submit ko lang hehe. nag submit ako mga before January, tas natanggap naman nila daw agad. nung call ako sabi nila count 5 months from January, tapos nag send sila ng verification. kakapadala ko lang sa Phils nung verification, baka abutin pa yun ng 3 months sa PRC, kasi sa Baguio ako, and nung nag apply ako sa CARNA-Alberta pinadala pa ang verification ko sa Manila. not sure kung ganun din gagawin nila..

di maganda ang results ng evalutaion ko dito sa Alberta kaya ako nag t try sa Ontario dahil walang SEC, tapos meron na pala ngayon OSCE >_<

wala ako work experience kaya baka madali lang yung akin, feeling ko mag OSCE din ako. paano kaya yung style nun. kaka apply ko din ng RPN .. magastos pero nag take chance nalang ako... sana mag work out...

Sino kaya pwede maka review buddy dito for OSCE? o kahit ano pang pwede i review.. sobrang nakalimutan ko na ang Nursing... 6 years na kasi email nyo naman ako azylhon@live.ca thanks guys!

Hi guys nasa canada ba kayo lahat ngayon? Is it true na dapat canadian citizen ako, or i have a permanent residency or currently working ako sa canada to have my eligibility to take exam as RN? I just have my application with joinallied ,, yun ang magiging representative ko jan.

ang alam ko pwede ka exam kahit di ka pa PR/citizen pero kailangan mo siya kapag mag register ka na as an RN... mas okay tumawag ka nalang sa CNO
