Hi Everyone,

I started this post to get some ideas where to get my medical examination. I haven't seen any posts regarding this although I have read some threads of people stating their experiences. I was thinking of St. Luke's as I have read a couple of positive experiences. Yet, there are also good one's from IOM (but read some bad one's too.) So, still undecided here.

I am inviting everyone to share their experiences (good and bad) so that people like me, who are waiting for the MR can prepare and have ideas. Thanking you all in advance in joining this post.

I got some threads from other forums regarding medical experiences here in the Philippines:

I hope more people will share their experiences here.

hey tabs,

another thing..i remember before somebody posted here saying that if you will get a higher bp of 120/80, you will need to get a clearance from a cardiologist?

but for my experience, i got 130/80 yesterday. but they said that this is still considered as baseline. and still considered as marginal , then accepted it. :)

so, they let me go, i think they are also considering the stress during travel, the age etc...

just want to share...

Great, thanks for this information. Glad to know they are also quite considerate.

Finally, I can post my own experience at St. Luke's Extension Clinic (SLEC)

I have added the link: http://tabs179.wordpress.com/category/uncategorized/

Sa SLEC tagiug kami nagpameds. arrived at 8:30am and finished at 3pm. That time siguro may 25 applicants don for diff countries. BTW, Nov 27 meds done while report was forwarded on Nov 29 and Dec 4 para sa eldest ko. Nagdeclare kasi ako ng primary complex hx sa kanya.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, too late na for me.

It was submitted on 7 January 2013. Took them 21 days.

I suggest others to go to Taguig, St. Luke's Global instead.

Anyone who had experience for medical of your special child dependent? After 19 months of waiting game from Singapore Visa Office, my files were transferred to CEM after I requested 2 months ago. After a month I received the MR from CEM. But not knowing there's an existing immigration policy of inadmissibility for excessive use of Canada's health and social services. Meaning if you are sick or special person that will require the excessive use of their health and social services, you will be inadmissible. My child is GDD or global dev delay. She's physically fine and now she's 10, only her learning ability is around 5 to 6 yrs old. We are now waiting for her medical records from dev doctor here in sg to submit when we will go for our medical exam. But now with loosing hope for the positive result because of that.
Anyone knows the same case like mine? But we are still crossing our fingers, still holding-on even on that small possibility of possitive result. We keep on praying for this. :(
