Share ko lang ang good news. Bukod sa nakuha ko na ang visa namin last week, dumating na rin yung results ng CGA Transfer of Credits application ko. I only applied for 14 Transfer of Credits. I intentionally did not include Business Law and Taxation sa application ko dahil alam ko naman na hindi yon ma-credit dahil magkaiba ang law and tax ng mga bansa natin. I'm just so happy that out of the 14 courses, they credited 11!! Medyo weird lang kase ang hindi nila na-credit is Business Communication, Computer Tutorials and External Auditing. Pero all other accounting subjects ko na-credit nila. I don't know kung ano yung criteria nila pero sana na-credit na rin etong mga to dahil basic lang naman. Anyways, just the same I am so thankful for all the blessings.

balak ko na nga magfile ng 2nd appeal, bahala na. baka kulang lng papeles na pinadala ko, di ko kasi napadala TOR sa master's degree ko. may isang nag share sa kabilang forum, pati seminars and trainings nilagay nya sa resume nya, di ko rin yun gnawa ng nagpadala ako ng resume i will try it, it might work this time ;D habang may buhay, may pag-asa

Congrats Mimi! Sa Aug 27 pa ang flight namin, medyo madami pa kase kaming kaylangan ayusin. Sa Mississauga talaga ang tuloy namin. Good luck sa pag-aayos nyo. Keep in touch tayo para magkita tayo pag andon na

charlie5---> salamat! sana nga kitakits tayo doon, medyo paranoid ako kasi sabi nila mahirap daw maghanap ng work doon ngayon kasi summer, daming students at priority din ng employers kasi mas kunti labor cost ???

mr. patrick--->yan din nabasa ko sa ICAS, that's why I chose WES, after less than 2 weeks lumabas na evaluation nila. i just sent my BA and MA TOR and diploma in university-sealed envelopes

I just received my assessment from CGA Ontario. (Thank you nga po pala for all the tips) Sad to say, I was only granted 7 exemptions. ??? :'( Next step would be to file an appeal for additional exemptions. May nakalagay kasi sa akin na note na: "Please arrange for an official transcript from CPA Philippines to be forwarded directly to CGA Ontario for additional transfer credit consideration."

I am currently drafting my letter to CGA Ontario and requesting for a copy of my grades from PRC. I have also requested copies of my course descriptions sa subjects which I took up sa school ko. Pero pagaaralan ko muna bago ko isend, baka kasi tangalin pa yung na-exempt sa akin pag nakita yung syllabus.

On a positive note naman, I have already received my assessment from WES and sa awa naman ng Diyos they evaluated my studies as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree. ;D Buti na lang talaga kumuha ako ng master's ko kasi the evaluation of WES for my undergraduate degree was only equivalent to a diploma.

Wala pa rin si Visa pero konting konti konti konti na lang talaga. 4 days na lang ang iprocess nila and then it our turn na. ;D ;D ;D Kita-kita na lang po tayo sa Toronto - The Financial Capital of Canada (Pero sa Missi kami.) ;D)

hi isarog! kainis na tlga CGA ano parang gusto ko na tlga CA eh, kng di lang mahirap makapasok sa mga CATO na yan, pero i try ko pa rin, para may choice ;D ;D ;D baka sakali may magkamaling kunin ako , di kasi tlga audit field ko eh, general accounting tlga, ang audit experience ko is pahapyaw lng.

nag-iisip pa ako kng i-file ko na 2nd appeal ko o wait ko muna graduation ko sa UP Open University march nx year kng palarin, im currently taking up DIPLOMA in COMputer science kasi, 2 subjects na lng at gagraduate nako. sayang ang MIS na di na grant ng transfer credit sa akin ng CGA ??? pero pag wait ko naman march 2012, tambay naman CGA prof studies ko, di ako makapagumpisa....or pwede kaya? pwede kaya i-enrol na muna yng di natin inaplayan ng transfer credits?????? sa mga nakakaalam, help pls........

I really don't know if my alma mater is the problem or CGA Ontario.

I have a friend who was assessed by CGA Alberta, and lo and behold, FAST TRACK sya! He only needs to take Business Law, Taxation, then the 2 specialization courses and the other 2 certification studies.

I am really happy for him/her, but I am really sad and in a way, angry because of the inequality. :-[ :'( :'( At lalo pa akong naging sad nung nakita ko na bawat isang foundation studies costs $730 while advanced courses are worth $910. :

Pare2has naman tayong CPAs. Sana yung assessment ng CGA parang sa CA na i.e. CPA Philippines as a whole.

Second, I am bound to Vancouver and would like to have my credentials assessed by ICES. Meron po ba sa inyo na makakasama ko sa Vancouver? Please PM me... we received our VISA early this week and we plan to leave by September. This is why we want to start the credentials assessment.
