Filipino Caregiver - Expediting Through Regular Immigration

Hi. First off, my name is James. New here. And a bit confused where exactly to post this thread. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

I read a few threads regarding Caregiver entry into Canada for Filipino women. A friend, is here under such work permit. Has 13 months left to complete the 24 month obligation. She has a SIN card and health card. Is there a way to jump off the program and fast track? The goal is to become a Canadian citizen, and marriage. Can this be done through an immigration process or other means. Any advice would be a great help, any direction that can be taken. Thank you

She will have to become a Permanent Resident first. After she has become a permanent resident and has lived in Canada for three out of the previous four years, she will be eligible for citizenship. So right now citizenship is still a long way off.

Can you explain more clearly what you are asking? Are you asking how she can become a permanent resident other than through the live in caregiver program?

She can get married to a Canadian citizen, then the Canadian citizen spouse sponsors her for PR. This cuts the time by at least 13 months (to qualify to apply for PR, under live in caregiver). But it is still a long haul considering the processing times lately.

Thank you, both. Yes, this is exactly what I am asking, kind of. Thank you for helping me clarify. Honestly. she is not working right now. And is living with me. I realize what I am getting into, I think. But, we have hit it off, quite well. Myself, reaching the 50's soon, I am not naive. Now we are wondering what to do, how to proceed. To tell you the truth, this woman, who is close to my age, I would like to keep her around for a long, long time!

Hi there I submitted the application for my caregiver to Philippines. These are the following timeline :

March 2011- Release of Positive LMO
Feb 22,2012 - Speak Test
March 9,2012 - Medical Test
March 12, 2012 - Notarized Letter from Canada
March 13,2012 - Application submitted

I sponsor a caregiver for my mom, i email the Philippine immigration with change address and try to process my application but no REPLY. I really need my caregiver since my mom is very very old and she just fell from the stairs. I don't know why the processing takes forever in Philippines. I'm so worried with my mom and have to stay most of my time at home (instead of my caregiver). I tried calling the CIC for this but the line is so busy. The delay of my caregiver affects alot in my life and my mom.... I hope there will be someone who can help me reach out the immigration by giving me a phone number in Philippines. I don't know what to expect now. Please help me. Thank you so much.
