I moved recently into Canada. My spouse and kids are still in another country and are dependent. I send them the expenses etc.

Do they count for the tax return filed here?
Can I claim them in the federal and provincial tax declaration form or do I need to wait till they join me in Canada.

My wife has the PR but my kids are US citizens

You can claim your wife credits with condition she has no income , and you supported her/kids from Canada ( have proof , recipts showing her name, ur name , date and total money transfered)
Depend. kids can only get the benefits when they are P RESIDENT in Canada( not only carrying PR Cards)
