Files transferred to NYVO - New York Visa Office

Hi everyone,

I wad wondering if anyone's files had been transferred to NYC - I'm South Korean and I am not an American PR/dual citizen so I am just unsure why I was transferred to this office. Theres really no information about this office as well. Anyone know a bit about them?

Our application was transferred to NYVO. We haven’t heard anything since AOR2 Nov 18th.. I don’t know much about this VO other than it’s clearly slow so far.

Wow I havent even received the AOR2. I ordered my GCMS notes so hopefully Ill know more by the end of March. I also checked the outland applications for 2019 and only 3 (including you and I) have been sent to the NYVO. The other person received the PR in 6 months so Im just not too sure whats happening with ours

Hi - my app was sent to NYVO on Jan 30th, after originally being sent to Mississauga VO. We got our pre arrival letter and then decision made on ECAS a week or so ago. We didn’t receive any AOR2 from either of the two visa offices so stay hopeful!!

Yeah it seems like this VO is hit or miss? There's not that much info about it but I definitely wouldn't worry about the AOR2 thing - it seems pretty common to not miss that regardless of VO! I'm not sure if ours was so quick because it was mostly processed at Mississauga? We had a few criminal hiccups that we included in our application so I suspect they might have sent it there to double check that all our American legal documents were accurate.
