Hi migrating...
read your earlier post regards RPRF.
My RPRF DD was dtd 26.07.2010 and got its receipt from CHC on 16.08.2010.
This RPRF was for my spouse and two sons amting to Rs37180/-.
This encashment ...does it have any signification or is it normal procedure?

Well it is normal but you haven't heard anything after 16 Aug 2010?
Are u done with ur medicals?

You don't need to pay RPRF for dependent children. How old are your children?
Where did you get the figure for calculating the RPRF for children?

I think you calculated Rs. 24060 X 1 + 6560 X 2= Rs. 37180. However this is the application Fees & is no longer payable at the CHC. This is what is paid to CIO, Sydney in CAD.

Secondly what about your RPRF? Is that already paid?
You have to pay only 21440 per applicant & spouse. I.e. Rs. 42880 for you & your spouse.

Pls. either send the balance amount to CHC immediately or ask for a refund (if you wish to, else no harm, more is OK, but less will be a problem) if you have paid more then 42880 total for all.

Hi Yukon, migrating..

Thanks for drawing my attention to this aspect of the fees.

I have always been confused by VPF and RPRF.
This amt of Rs37180/- is the VPF for my spouse and two sons .aged 11 and 17
Sorry if I mentioned RPRF. This VPF(Visa Processing Fee?) was deposited in the form of a DD for the above amt to CHC with my full set of dox in Aug 2010.
(as I did not make payment earlier with my initial application).
My VPF was paid in March 2010 with my initial application to CIO,NS.(CAD550)

I stand corrected.

Can I mail CHC regarding the status of my application?
Do please guide me in case anything has to be done. I would not like anything to go amiss due to ignorance on my part.
Thanks once again for your help.

That's better ... :)

In the AOR from CHC it must have been mentioned to contact the office if nothing is heard from them in 90 days. So you can write a small e-mail to them asking for a status update... no harm in that.

But be patient, as Delhi Office is taking 6-7 months for the paper review. Post paper review if you are found eligible then only you will get the call for medicals. So you can sit tight atleast upto Feb/Mar 2011.

Hi Yukon..

Now the difficult part...

My application has been through a representative.
For sending the email to CHC...Can I go it alone? or do I put a cc for my representative too...(could you provide CHC email and a draft letter to go with it.You could PM me if necessary. This would be of great help..as my nerves are already taut to their extreme....Hope they dont rip just waiting for news from CHC).
Thanks again

Thanks for the good news...Hopefully will be getting soon.

Regards,
Laxmikanth

You should ask your rep. to do it, else you can write directly, but they may not reply. Better is to insist with your rep. to do it promptly.
Secondly just relax. People have waited for 7 years before getting Visas. It is now that we are getting it in 10-12 months & yet we are so impatient !!!
Then link to send a query is:

https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new delhi

Just follow the instructions on screen.

Also one thing that is unique to you is that how come CIO, Sydney accepted your app. without the processing fees for all family members? Because they clearly state that fees is payable for all family mentioned in the application form irrespective of whether the family member is accompanying or not!

Hi Guys,

I have and update...My agent has received a letter from CHC asking for the following....

1. Photographs of my Marriage
2. Proof of Funds.

They have given 30 days to provide all

I can understand the Requirement of Proof of funds...but I dont understand why are they asking for marriage photos when I have submitted my marriage certificate to them....

You must had submitted the Proof Of Fund.. Can you share what was the form of it? Was that certified by CA?
And I have heard that CHC asking the marriage proof in the case husband-wife living apart.. Is that the case with you?

Good Luck buddy..
