Agree with laklak. Lot of applicants with FTD in Match have received medicals.
Lets be hopeful in a practical way.
In my opinion March FTD applicants will be receiving their medicals soon. Maybe by April end all will complete medicals.

I definitley have my doubts on the Status displayed by the ECAS system.

The system displayed the status as "In Process" on Feb 15, 2011 after being in "Received by VO" status for about 8 months. It has been 3 weeks since the status has changed and nothing has changed in the details section.

I had applied for the CAIPS notes and recieved them today (Dated Feb 25 - About 10 days after ECAS Changed).

BFD Date is 06-01-2011
PSDEC 0
BDEC 0
OREQ 0
SELDEC 0
MEDDEC 0
FINDEC 0

Even the immigration assessment record summary (where they calculate the Points) is not even started. Hence PSDEC = 0.

Why change the status in ECAS when actually the status should still be "Recieved By VO".

Nothing much we can do except WAIT !! Maybe...MAYBE the details change and we can be sure that they have actually started processing.

My friend, If CAIPS notes are irrelevant because a new system is in place, they would have stopped providing the service rather than risk being sued for fleecing the Public's money.

It is much more reliable than ECAS - where strange things happen.

ECAS does not change without any reason. The strange behavior on ECAS started about little late than a month back. i.e., on 26 Jan.

What I observed is, ECAS changes when you request for address change or a BFD come in place on your case. It means any action taken on an application changes the status on ECAS. This simply means even if they don't start processing, ECAS changes to IN PROCESS.

For CameraEye, the previous BFD shows 06 Jan 2011 so if we assume a 30 days of BFD given on 06 Jan 2011 then It comes to 05 Feb 2011....Since 05 Feb was weekend they would have look in to his case on 07 Feb or 08 Feb. Now the ECAS changed to IN PROCESS on 15 FEB 2011 i.e., after 26 JAN 2011 where ECAS started showing this change.

It is obvious for him to his ECAS to be changed to IN PROCESS on 15 FEB 2011 (Tuesday) because on a tuesday before that (08 FEB 2011) as per CAIPS his 30 days BFD would have been finished and a new one was given....

Now, What I believe is they give 30 days or 45 days BF'D...depends on the case... If 30 days on his case then he'll get an update in next week and 45 days then two weeks after that

Guys on a side note, i found this on the CIC site:

"CAIPS notes are only for immigration files abroad, FOSS notes are only for immigration files that are in Canada and GCMS is for citizenship files only"

Just mentioning this because i saw that somebody mentioned that CAIPS are now irrelevant since GCMS is coming. But according to the CIC site GCMS is for citizenship files only.
