@ honeyjack,
If you go through different threads on this forum, you'll notice that visa office does not open files based on document submission. Just check threads where people have submitted documents in April, May, etc. If that would be the case all applicants who submitted documents in April should be cleared and only than May will be cleared or at least they should show in process in order. But as observed by Tarak and other its not the case and hence this thread was started. Till now ND CHC was following a pattern based on file transfer date.
Now a days it is just random, or we are yet to figure out the pattern.
I guess there r lot of factors in opening a file and they consider file transfer, document submission, NOC, and many other things before opening a file.

As per CIC stating time based on Complete application package, I wanna say that CIC uses this as
1. Your application is complete when all documents reaches Visa office. Hence Visa office have to give this statement.
2. If they give ftd as basis than their timeline will increase.
3. When I initially applied the time was 8 months(as in most of those on this forum). I was under impression that 8 months will include the time from initial application. I think visa offices of CIC websites should mention full time instead of just visa office time.
But they are not gonna do that cos it increase their time line.

You are correct as they are processing application based on FTD & many factors are also taken into consideration for processing like NOC demand, pregnancy,AEO,etc... but this timeline shows that applications were finalize in 11 months from date of full docs recd at VO... I mean to say that this time is total frm docs reached at CHC to finalization of a case ( based on file processed in last quarter).

Hi
I have recently sent a case specific enquiry to CHC ND. My question is that do we get any confirmation mail(as email) like your request has been submitted or something like that.

Thanks

I have experienced both situations, one is receiving an Auto-Response & not receiving it too.

Their is definitely an Auto-Responder when you send a case specific inquiry through the CIC website.
For queries that did not receive an Auto Response, I did not get any response from CHC......

So, getting an Auto Response is important, acknowledging that CHC has received your query.

Just wait out, sometimes the auto response comes even as late as 1 hour after sending the query.

Else just send out a normal letter through courier, it will be delivered the next day, as it really does not matter in terms of time, since CHC anyways does not usually respond before 5-7 days.

Send out a normal letter through Courier, or you can even Fax it. I am not sure though whether a query sent through Fax is addressed to.
Fax No. is 011-4178 2031

Letter (by Courier) is the best option, if you have not received an auto response on e-mail.

I have never received an auto response i have sent them case specific 5 times till now.......They always respond within 7-10 days....in my case they always do the copy paste ...all the 5 times the same stuff..... ;) ;) ;) ;) :P :P :P :P
