So here goes: I applied in May 2009 for the skilled labor program. After going from Buffalo to Nova Scotia, file ended up back in Buffalo - wasted 3-4 months in the process. On Oct 31, 2009 I got an email saying the Buffalo Office is processing my file. Did not hear from them till May 17 2010, then mentioning that my file has been sent to NYC to expedite processing. I followed up after 90 days on Aug 17 2010 and received the following response :
"Your file is in queue for selection decision by an officer. You will be notified in writing of any pending documents and/or requirements"
I have two questions:
1 - Do I even know if I have qualified for the skilled labor program, since the latest email says "Selection decision" ?
2 - Based on this message board, people state that they usually hear back before 90 days. I've clearly gone over this time period. Im wondering if my Pakistani nationality has anything to do with delays (background checks etc)
Not entirley sure what to think....
