Hi Iav12
I'm in the same situation as you. My application was transferred to local Vancouver office without AIP on Sept 20 2012. I haven't heard anything since then. I'll keep in touch if I get a letter or hear anything. Can you do the same ? Let me know if you hear anything?

Hi guys
Sorry haven,t been here for a long time.I had my interview in Vancouver last week. They just gave us 5 days notice before our interview date.Interview went well took about 2 hours . They interviewed me and my wife separately. At then end IO said he will mail us the decision.
Does anyone been through the same situation?
I read lots of post people get AIP on the spot at interview. But some get decision by mail like me..
I am wondering about how long do we need to wait for get the decision by mail??
Hopefully soon.GOOD LUCK everyone....GOD BLESS ALL

Wow Iav12,

That was surprisingly fast. I hope you hear good news. What kind of interview takes 2 hours?

Kiwi
Interview was really fast and Officer ask all about your relationship..IO was very nice and ask about our daily life things we did together and places we been together, gifts we gave each other stuff like that....nothing to worry about...Officer looked at all of our pictures together, wedding pictures and all sort of proofs together which took him about 1 hour to go through and another hour was interview...Hopefully you hear from immigration soon. GOD BLESS

Hi Iav12,

Do you mind me asking what country you are from and whether or not you allowed your status to run out? I hope I am not being too personal.

File received in Vegreville March 12, 2012. Starting processing June 29, 2012. Letter regarding file transfer October 1, 2012. Sent in 2 additional packages of supporting documentation October 10 and November 1, 2012. Spousal sponsorship still in processing. Local office processing time 4-6 months.

Hopefully you hear from immigration soon.I know waiting is really hard...In my case is it normal that IO send decision by mail instead of telling on the spot??
I hope mine come soon.. Do you have an idea usually how long it takes to get the decision by mail..Is it any time frame?? may be this week
God bless

Hi Iav,

From what I have seen with other cases it is generally about a week from the day of the interview. In all honesty, I believe the IOs mind is already made up prior to the interview unless you can offer up something that hasn't already been established. I know that week's wait feels like a year and your stress level is wearing you down. Hopefully you have something to keep you busy that will take your mind off of it.

Hi, before your file transfer , did your e-cas every say "in process" Im asking because some people here are saying those who get only "Application received" on e-cas and no "in process" will have to go to interview. thanks for the input
