because the Chinese new year, hk only take 4 days break, but Beijing will take 7 days? (Feb 11 to 17)Better in HK. Will move faster.
The short form is that this only matters if you have some physical, scheduled interaction with them (including on-line interviews).because the Chinese new year, hk only take 4 days break, but Beijing will take 7 days? (Feb 11 to 17)
just a joke, but one thing I am sure, the Beijing VO was closed before, the reason they are available again, is the Canada goverment want to speed up. Hopefully, all of us could get good news next month. The short form is that this only matters if you have some physical, scheduled interaction with them (including on-line interviews).
As far as I'm aware, the practice worldwide is that Embassies/consulates etc have the same number of statutory days as in Canada, and the head of mission decides which days (usually some combination of Canadian / local holidays) the mission will be closed. (Yes, it might work on a day when all local business/government is closed, and might be closed when all local are open). [It can be a bit more complicated in countries whose workdays aren't monday to friday]
Of course, some staff may - as in Canada - take their personal vacation days for whatever personal reasons in order to combine with statutory for more consecutive days.
I think confirmed via call to ircc that thr file is in Beijing
It was moved to Beijing instead of MVO, like mine moved to Beijing instead of NDVO.Please can you cross check with them if possible as per timelines it says moved to MVO, which is mississauga office. Its not beijing. Please let us know if it was beijing or mississauga?

The Beijing VO was previously closed due to some internal problems and has since reopened after remodeling the office.just a joke, but one thing I am sure, the Beijing VO was closed before, the reason they are available again, is the Canada goverment want to speed up. not yet . . patiently waitingHas anyone here went from APPLICATION RECEIVED to IN PROCESS yet?
hiHello Everyone, I have searched alot but could not find anywhere that if Beijing office was processing any spousal application before in previous years.
Even I found most of the China applicant files were going to Hongkong Vo but could not find if anyones files were sent to Beijing.
Am wondering if they now started just to process our files at Beijing, then in that case we might hear something soon, because they may not have that much work load like other VOs like Ottawa and New Delhi.
Anyone's file status changed from received to in process, please share here.
Anyone found anything about their processing timeline please share.
Looking forward for some postivity. A ray of hope...may God bless us.
