Since then, no word from Detroit. We just hope that the saying "no news is good news", is true in our case. ;D ;D ;D

I went through detroit. At the time I felt like the only one, most others went through NYC etc. Detroit was superfast for me though, fingers crossed for everyone else here!!

Anyone else waiting on the NYC consulate?

Omg! I have my PR visa now!!! I just checked my mail box and there it was! They have returned all the photos and the kids birthcertificates but not nothing else. Either way I am so happy!!!

It took about 3 weeks from them receiving my passport to return. I was really getting worried that it was lost in the mail!

Now I am going to be looking to see when I should land! I can finally see my kids back in the States!!!!!!! 3 months of not seeing them has been a torture for me.

congratulations! :)

Anyone hear anything from Detroit?

Cross posted from July:
LANDED! We went to Buffalo last night (we could land at anytime since NYC had issued the visa). No problems at the border. It took a total of 15mins because he had nothing to land with as we had brought his things here previously.

This morning, however, when speaking with a friend at work he mentioned that you can land IN TORONTO :S He landed several years ago but for those around Toronto you may want to investigate. He said it was by Yonge and St Clair, but since this was a few years ago perhaps the rules have changed.

Thank you for all your support through this process and good luck to everyone waiting on completion!!

I had my file transferred from Buffalo to Detroit on 2 Nov 2010
