Wow two weeks! Excellent, even for a satellite office! Amazing! Congrats for your good news, Vervain :)
Must be a relief to know that you will have healthcare for the baby coming.

Very much so, we got a quote from the hospital for a birth that starts at about $5K (just for the ROOM for two days) and goes up from there. That would NOT be good!!

Congrats!! it looks like things are moving quickly for many people... :)

Well I sent off our passports....we weren't able to do FedEx, so we used Canada Post Express (hubby even grumbled about THAT cost) and Detroit will be sending it back through the regular mail. I am so bloody nervous ALL OVER AGAIN. :-[

Don't worry Vervain! I'm sure it will be fine :)
I've sent my passport via post before and my husbands. Sure they lose stuff sometimes but so does FedEx and its very rare! I'm sure it will get where its going :)

Did you get a trackable method at least?

It's trackable on the way there, but won't be on the way back. I know, I know...logically :P We're just so close to the end. I want no mistakes!

PPR!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that is amazing!! Keeping my fingers crossed (just started processing in Buffalo so no idea if the file is getting transferred yet).

The people who's aps take two months from start to finish are extremely rare. Most of the people who have been getting their PPR's quickly have taken around two months at Buffalo alone.

Congrats again silverbee!!! That is a very, very amazing timeline. You and Lysiana should collaborate and write a "How to Get Canadian PR Status in Record Time" book!

It seems to be true, the prediction that once school started the apps would start flying through Buffalo and the sattelite offices. Lots of PPRs this week and last.

Wow...I hope we are just as lucky....wow....

Too bad you cannot request whose desk your file lands on.

Oh bad news! The New York Consulate did indeed call me, but they were looking at someone else's file when they told me that I got my residency. They clarified by email later that day.

I had a really happy few hours in there, though....

looks like i'm still waiting...

Awww that sucks :(
