Hi Jstar / murthy909 / rmdharan / abhi812 and others who had been waiting for medicals,

I saw people getting passport requests, but did any one get medical request too?

Amazingly, my application completes 1 full year of being In-Process on June 24th. I saw that Buffalo's processing times are now 19 months. Based on fact that I submitted the full application to Buffalo in January 2010, it is already 16-17 months.

Emailing gets a standard reply that your application is in queue for further processing. It looks like I am in the most unlucky bunch.

Thanks,
MathCanada

Don't worry MathCanada, you will get the medical soon. It took 17 months for us to get medicals too. It took another 6 months for us to get passport request. All in all its taken over 24 months to get to this stage not counting the Nova Scotia leg of the journey. So don't despair, everyone will get medicals or PPR soon.

Thanks a lot both abhi812 and Acelawyer! You have added ray of hope to my immigration prospect to Canada :)

Thanks,
MathCanada

I sent our PP's to NY VO on Thursday by US priority mail, it was received today at the VO. I will be tracking how long it will take the VO to return the PP's. Any updates from anyone on the thread?

I got my PP request yesterday.

Haha, I told you!! And i'm not too surprised you got the PPR. It took the PP about 5-6 weeks to be returned to me via normal mail. I included the prepaid Fedex label but they don't want to use it, as clearly said "not for individual use" in the instruction.
I'm still compiling the list to follow, over estimating seems to do the tricks. You should do more research about those lists early. You will have more time, man ;).

Dear Friends,
just as an update.
i emailed a week ago to NYVO about status, since it's been 15 months as Buffalo recieved full application.( and they ask to contact them after 15 months)
Surprisingly they responded in just a week :) saying that it is still in queue for processing..
it it the same phrase what i had half year ago..so not really great news.. :(

Don't worry Dream23, they will send you medicals soon. Patience is the key for Canadian immigration.

Abhi ,thanks..
yes, some people did medicals in advance..
i have no idea if it's worth it..

Same here no medical-i guess given the time lines being talked about, it is going to be Jan 2012 before anything happens :D
