Got this response from VO New York from my enquiry. What do you guys think?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your file appears ready for visa. The officer will conduct a final review and you will be notified in writing of any pending documents and/or requirements.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

I think you're a victim of bureaucracy and you will be receiving PPR soon :))

"Your file appears ready for final decision. (You) will be notified of any pending documents and / or requirements once the final review is completed"

If you got the Med Req, you shouldn't be worried. Some people got "Decision made" without receiving the Request, that's a really negative signal ;)

My wife has had her medicals done for coming up on 6 months now and buffalo doesn't respond. They have not even acknowledged they received the medicals. There is something flawed with the system.

You might send the inquiry to Buffalo and express your concern with the upcoming expired date for the Med Results. I'm sure they don't want you to miss that date

Thank God, got PPR today via post office mail today. I am so happy and relieved. Its been a two year journey. I will be mailing the passport tomorrow to the the NY visa office. Thanks to everyone on the forum. You are all a bunch of helpful and kind people. God bless you all!

I will inform you of the progress. I have dreamt of this day for so long and always happy for people who get PPR or medical praying that our turn will come someday soon. That day has come!

Hey Smallduck, whats going on with your move. How long did it take to get your passport back?

I am just so happy and relieved. Thanks everyone on this thread. I pray you will all get MR or PPR soon.

Haha, I told you!! And i'm not too surprised you got the PPR. It took the PP about 5-6 weeks to be returned to me via normal mail. I included the prepaid Fedex label but they don't want to use it, as clearly said "not for individual use" in the instruction.
I'm still compiling the list to follow, over estimating seems to do the tricks. You should do more research about those lists early. You will have more time, man ;).

Thanks SD, I will definitely do that.

Hi Jstar / murthy909 / rmdharan / abhi812 and others who had been waiting for medicals,

I saw people getting passport requests, but did any one get medical request too?

Amazingly, my application completes 1 full year of being In-Process on June 24th. I saw that Buffalo's processing times are now 19 months. Based on fact that I submitted the full application to Buffalo in January 2010, it is already 16-17 months.

Emailing gets a standard reply that your application is in queue for further processing. It looks like I am in the most unlucky bunch.

Thanks,
MathCanada
