Buddy,

Your case is 10 times better than mine.

I applied on 7-22-2010, and cced on Dec 10 2010. My file has been transferred to NYC office on Feb 27 2012, and after that, no any updates, still RBVO...At least you have your meds done....

So don't worry.

I don't need template to copy-paste it verbatim, just to have a carcass to build my own inquiry email.

The reason I ask is , and it's my subjective assumption, that if you send an email with "Officer, I am too exhausted waiting for you to process my case, tell me now what's going on! How longer do we have to wait!" I am sure chances of getting meaningful response will be significantly diminished (as opposed to sending calm and professionally sounding inquiry).
It would be helpful if someone posted very simple, straight to point inquiry text that actually received proper response.

You are right about timing, it's less than 3 months. I wouldn't think about emailing, but the case has been sent in October 2010, it's post June 2010 FSW (supposedly had to be finalized in less than 12 months , or by October of 2011). I think MAY BE, just MAY BE sending an inquiry could get some attention to the case and let it move little faster (provided they did all checks already, since end of 2010).
The worst case scenario they will update me of the case status and say it is in process (similar to some of the responses other members posted).

My fingers are crossed , but who knows, emailing may not hurt , instead may get a ppr :)

Hello all,

I got my COPR in the mail on May 4th, 2012! I'm hoping to arrange my landing process in a local CIC office, as I'm already in Canada on a TWP.

However, I'm having some issues. I try to call the number provided, 18882422100, which is the generic CIC Call Centre number, to book an appointment with a CIC office, but everytime it tries to transfer me to an agent, the call gets disconnected. I tried to find a local number for a CIC office near me, but no luck with that.

Any suggestions?

why don't you just got to a border crossing close to you. it is much faster and you can do when ever you want 24/7. some of my friends did the landing in Niagara crossing.

Friends,

Just want to tahnks to all. This site and your posts have been really helpful during 2 years of long peiord but worth waiting. I applied in April 2012 and exactly after 2 years, my application has been successfully processed. Today I sent my passport for stamping.

Hello All,

I am an FSW2 applicant currently working in Toronto on WP. I have applied in Dec 2010 and my application is recently (On April 23rd) transferred to NY VO. I am new to this thread.

1) Can some one tell me the average time that it takes for MR once file is transferred to NY VO?

2) Is there any one here who applied in Dec 2010 and got their application transferred to NY VO?

Thanks,
satya.

Hello Satya!

Folks,
I was just wondering, how do get permission to appear in person for stamping. what is the email address to send email for asking for the permission for in person stamping?

Regards

Completed my landing process at the Peace Bridge border from Buffalo!

Since I am already on a TWP in Toronto, I brought my wife and daughter with me to spend the day in Niagara/Buffalo to celebrate with shopping and Cheesecake Factory! If you are in the same situation as I was, skip asking the US Customs people about doing your landing process for Canadian PR, as they made me go into immigration for a wasted 10 minutes, only for them to tell me that they couldn't do anything for me (since I am a US Citizen).

Anyways, after a day in Niagara/Buffalo, after dinner, we headed to the border intending to go to Queenston Lewiston Bridge to do my landing process. I was in the right-most lane, so I had to go through the Peace Bridge, which was fine with me. It was not busy at all, on a Thursday at around 11pm-ish. I believe I waited behind 1 car. Anyways, I told the customs officer in the car that I was doing my landing process. She quickly handed me a yellow slip of paper and told me to park and enter the building.

Inside the Customs building (or whatever you call it), there was no line for me to talk to a immigration officer. I had the pleasure of being served by a very pleasant fellow, who even joked with me about an angry customs officer in the back that we heard yelling "I SAID WHERE DO YOU LIVE?!!!". In any case, asking me where I wanted my PRC sent, he basically went over what the rights of a PR is, and kept asking me if I had any questions. Since I didn't, with the help of 2+ years of research, worrying, and this forum, the whole process was done in like 20 minutes.

Anyways, thanks everyone and for whoever else is waiting, just be patient and be diligent in providing the CIC with everything they need in a quick manner.

God bless, all!
