Thanks DestCan...have you landed?

Not yet. :) I have sent my passport for stamping. I am not in US anymore therefore, had to send my PP through a friend traveling to US. Expecting it back sometime in April.

Hi murthy,
Thanks for this information. I intend to land in Toronto around 15/16 April. I have lived in Richmond Hill for two years earlier, so will go there again. I am from Delhi, where are you from? Did you go out for sightseeing after submitting your passport to come back at 01:00PM or waited in the waiting room only? Was the token number given by security?

Cheers..

Dear friends,

I flew from New Delhi to New Jersey over the weekend. Reached NYVO at 08:30 AM / 5 March along with their permission letter to appear in person to get my visa. I was called to submit my passport + 4 pictures and PPR mail at 09:30 AM and asked to collect my PP at 01:00 PM. Finally, got my visa +COPR at 02:00 PM. Returning to Delhi tomorrow and planning to land in Toronto on 15/16 April 2012.

Best wishes to every one here with their process.

Cheers..

Sunny Verma

Congrats!!!

Hey Jay

Let us know when you get the mail.

later

And your suggestions about the vague NYVO email reply is correct! I got my medical request and RPRF in the mail today. I wonder if I would have gotten this had I not sent an inquiry a month after the BFD date mentioned in my CAIPS notes...

In any case, praise God for this long awaited day! I'm going to be calling the DMP near my work in Toronto to try to schedule an exam as soon as possible. ANyone have any experiences with Medicals getting done? ANything I need to be aware of that may not be mentioned in the Medical request??

I recieved my passport back from NYVO today, with Immigrant visa 8)

Thanks all for you help Forum. Am planning to do inland landing, as i am residing in Canada already. I just need to call CIC Call Centre to request an appointment ;)

Again , thanks a lot for all the forum members :)

Wow less than 2 weeks between sending medicals to PPR! I hope for the same. Getting my medicals done March 14 and I'm gonna expedite sending receipts and RPRF the next day.

Good Luck, yes you send the receipts and PPRF as early as possible....
