Congrats anne55.

Even my status has changed to decision made : ;D

" A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. "

NY office received my passport on Feb 9th as per postal tracking, hoping i will be receiving my passport shortly.

@anne55, did you send prepaid post to send your passport back?

Thanks and congrats to you too Maha1981! :D

I didn't include a return envelope as I don't have business account with any courier company. Few days after I sent my PP to New York, I read a post from one of the member that we can open a business account with courier company thru phone for free... good info but it was too late before I read it :(

Anyways, I will be receiving my PP thru regular mail and hoping that there won't be any further delay. I am currently residing in Canada. How about you? have you sent them a return envelope?

Please keep us posted! ;)

Hi All,
i am a new a new joiner to this group and i am following the post regulary as i am also in the same boat. Like most of you even my application got transferred to NY office on Dec 1st and on Jan 10th status changed to In Process. I received an email from Consulate asking me to submit the FBI Background report on Jan31st and they gave me 60 days to submit that. I am currently in US so i sent my finger prints to FBI. i don't know if i can get the fnger print result in 2 months, so is there any way we can request the Canadian authorities to extend time line if i cant submit the FBI report on time?

Hello Anne55,

I couldn't reply your message. To answer your question, the immigration NY received my passport on February 2nd - as per online tracking Canada post.

However, up to today, I havent seen my ECAS status update changed.

I hope my passport will arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Thanks for sharing the info.

Thanks Anne55.

Ohh same here, even am residing in Canada and did not send them return envelope. Yes, even i saw the post regarding opening corporate account by calling Canada post, but by that time i had sent my PP.

Maybe sometime next week, we will receive our pp's.. Good luck :)

Thank you LORD! and thanks to everyone to all the support and comforting words throughout the whole process. This forum is wonderful and it became a part of my daily life for more than two years.. :-*

Did any one with Jan 2012 transfer date got any further progress.

I think it is a good idea to initiate FBI background check again while we are waiting for progress from VO, this will save time.

Signing for next IELTS date will also be good if your score is getting 2 year old, VO might ask for new score again.

Keep sharing the dates and other ideas.
Thanks

Hey thanks Manja_mali for quick response.
Is there any one in the forum who applied for FBI background check recently and how much time did the process took. Trying to calculate Process time.

I Google D it, takes around 6-8 weeks. But the first thing you should do is write an email to NY or a mail explaining your situation and approx time you will need to submit the document requested by the officer. It will be also helpful if you can show them a proof that you are already in process of getting it the document.

cheers
