HI kurt! Congrats! I can see you're a Filipino too. Did they ask for an updated NBI Clearance since u submitted all your documents at Buffalo/NYVO when they requested all the documents?

just received email asking for our passports! at last..

there are still issues that I asked them:
1. CIC asked for passport with at least 1 year validity. My family's passport will expire on Sep 2012. I never saw this coming.. I thought passport should be at least more that 6 mos.
2. applying visa stamp in person

In case item 1 is mandatory, I asked for extension on the 30 days grace period.

Congrates Kurt0206, a long wait is finally coming to an end.

Can you put the official wording mentioned in your letter for point no 2. Are they asking us to come in person.
If yes then can one person carry passport for other family members

One side question, can we do landing right after stamping..

Cheers,

@flip
no NBI clearance request since I have not been in the Philippines for more than 6 mos. for the last 3 1/2 years..

@sicko
I got by email.. CIC sent also by mail as stated in the PPR

@Aspirant
CIC did not ask to do visa stamping in person.. I asked them if it possible to do that so we can complete landing process when we cross the border

Thank you!!!SVS ..Please check your mail box & email (junk folder) may be in the mail box already...

Congrats Murthy,

I suggest you send a mail to NYVO explaining your situation and explore the possibility of obtaining your visa at New Delhi VO. Otherwise, you will have to either send your PP with someone trustworthy going to NY with an authorization letter to get it done in person or get US visa and travel there yourself.

Best wishes,

vermas

Since I had received my Medical+ RPRF + new PCC + updated IMM8 last week, I got my medical done on Saturday in New Delhi. Entire process took approx 20 minutes and cost me INR 3,100 or C$ 62. DMP mentioned that my medical reports would be sent to NDVO on Monday (9 Jan 2012) and would be uploaded in CAIPS (my file is still in CAIPS not GCMS) here with a notification sent to NYVO. DMP confirmed dispatch today.

I have already applied for PCC and got a call from police that some one would come to my house for verification today.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Cheers..

Thank You Vermas.
I'm planning to travel to USA to get Visa , getting visa stamping from New Delhi VO is not an option.

Updated PCC : is from FBI or in INDIA? All the best ....

Congrates Vermas, good progress.

Can you point out to any person who went to NY in-person.. Just want to explore that option.

Thanks

Dear Friends,

On CIC website. there is a "Case Specific Enquiry" facility, where in we can fill in case file number and query.
Has someone tried using that and does visa office reply to the queries?

I posted a query a few days back, I never got a response.. :(

Hi SCB

I know that we all impatient now for the medical but this not a good time to send inquiry coz in case of a inquiry sent they pull out your file from the queue. I know its not a first in and first out thing but still that might delay the process by 2 -3 weeks.

So sit tight fro few more weeks.
