Are you already in Canada? I read somewhere if you are already in Canada, they are fine with PCC's older than an year.
If you are outside Canada and they did not ask for PCC, that's a relief. Anyways, thanks for your response.

They are asking for updated police certificates if you are outside of Canada. In the US they are asking for updated FBI Clearances which take 8 to 10 weeks..

I would be interested to know how much time does it take to get the PPR after submitting the PCC.

Hi all, please add my details. I just was informed that I had been transfered to the NYC VO from BVO on Jan 10th. Oddly, I would never have known if I hadn't sent the BVO a job update via email the other day, to which I got this reply...

My ecas is still RBVO with no indication of transfer, but whatever, I'll take movement over gathering dust in Buffalo!

What can I expect as far as timeline?

I have been back in my home country for 18 months and have ben asked for new PCC along with medicals.

Does anyone know if NYVO is asking for PCC again since PCC is valid for 1 year only. I was wondering if it helps requesting for new PCC even before VO asks to expedite the process.
How long is it taking for PP request after Medicals being delivered at Ottawa? Our tracker doesnt track the date Medicals were sent to Ottawa, tracking that will help.

Many congrats Sicko! One of the best moment ever, I bet..

It took them 9 days to mail your passport! Did they return it by regular mail or courier one? My passport reached VO on Jan 25, and I'm hoping to get it back by the end of Jan to change my status on school. Do you think it would work if I drop them a line asking to expedite it? I already provided prepaid Fedex envelop to minimize the mailing process.

Still waiting for PPR and I'm quite sure that I will go "in person" as this is a matter of 4 passports

There is no movement at all in my case, but I'm ok with this wait as there is a lot to do before I move from here.
Meanwhile I've cleared CFA level 1 and now preparing for CFA level 2 so not is that hurry. Want to get some certifications before final move.

You would need to submit 4 photos ( 35x45 mm) and PR visa authorization form (comes with the PPR request) along with your passport. Make sure your passport is valid for one year and has at least one blank page other than the last page.

I got my son's passport renewed recently so do I need to inform them, I talked to my agent and she said no need.
Just want to be caution

My lawyer asked from me copy of our new passports to sent to Buffalo.That's my story.

You can not make mistake if you scan your son's passports and sent to New York.You have nothing to loose.

If you do not do that now you would do that later, however.

Do not listen your consultant whatever he/she says.If he/she is longer your lawyer his/her bill will be longer too.

You can do it by yourself.
