Small duck, don't worry too much. I applied in August 2009 and my application turned to "In Process" on June 24th, which is like after 10 months. As you can see, it is completing a full 1 year in August and no medicals yet.

Good to see that some VO send mail to intimate that they have sent the medical request(Detroit for example sent mail to CanadaDream1), I am not sure abt NewYork VO, Did anyone receive such mails from NewYork VO

Another week is almost gone, no sign of medical request. I emailed NY visa office yesterday and there was an automated reply saying
" Due to volume of applications, we will only respond to request for
application status if processing period posted on our website has been
exceeded. Please visit: http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/new_york. "
The processing period is now 20 weeks from the date of file transfered to NY office, not 90 days.
Well lets see what happens next week.

Thanks jstar posting the reply here . It's so funny they extend the time to 20 weeks and don't let applicant know about the change. Anyway, summer time has nearly ended... Anybody want the last vacation this summer before going to Canada???

I checked the website for NY and below is the text -

"You will be sent a letter showing your file number and outlining the next steps in processing within 20 weeks of the date of your application's receipt at this office."

I understand that it means that in 20 weeks, from the date they receive the application, they will respond with the next steps in processing. I don't think it means that processing will be completed in 20 weeks.

I am sure you can arrange that with your doctor. I asked my doctor for the courier tracking number and he emailed them to me.

How did you track your medicals? I did my medicals on 12th Aug.....the place where i did the X-ray, the guy told me that the reports will be sent to the doctor in 3-4 days. So i am thinking the doctor will receive them today or tomorrow. Is there a way to request the doctor to send them via express shipments using fedex or DHL?

NY seems slower than Buffalo these days...And the worst part is I cannot even contact them because they officially said 90 days after transfer..so in Sep it will be 5 months after I submitted all my documents to Buffalo...Lets hope they start sending medicals in coming week or two.

Today is the 90th day after my file had been transfered to NY office,

Today i got a reply for my ecas query which i raised sometime back regarding my address change
I sent email to NewYork office for my address change but i got a generic response, then again i asked them to confirm wht address they have in my file, Now after 90 days i am getting a reply from Newyork office confirming my address, Hope that 90days break is over and i will get my medical forms soon
