File tranfer from Berlin to Vienna

Dear All,
I had applied to for immigration to Berlin and finally I was asked to send passport for visa. while I was preparing to send passport in April, 2012, notifciation was issued that Berlin Has closed and file will transfered to Vienna. Since 8 months I did not hear from Vienna. Please guide me in this regard. Any body having the same case.

when did you apply? did you send vienna office e mails asking them about your case? they can not keep your passport for 8 months with no reply!!

Actually, I was preparing to send passport to berlin, but notification was issued and I could not send passport to Berlin. The passport are still with me. Becaseu they send me an e.mail that I will be informed for further course of time from Vienna, when files have been transferred. what should I do.
