PER is Positive eligibility review, this term has been coined by some members of this Forum and has got no association with CIC.

PER is what applicants receive in the form of an email from CIC,Sydney which basically indicates that your file is is complete and has passed the INITIAL ASSESSMENT to gain the eligibility points of 67. The initial assessment for 67 points is further investigated in details at VOs

well, this is not mitali, but i guess mitali wouldn't mind answering me . . . . ;)

after receiving the application, one should wait about 90 days to get PER/NER e-mail from CIO.
you should get 1st AOR [acknowledgement of receipt {PER/NER}] by December 2011.

hope it eases!! ;D
