File has been transferred to Etobicoke

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office may contact you for an interview or to seek additional information or clarification. That office will make a final decision on your APR and communicate to you its decision".

I sent more evidence and another letter stating ive exhaust all options. then on March 12, received sponsors eligibility letter, we didn't hear back from immigration for 2 months, then we received BLV. 9 days after that I received a Email saying that I'm approved for work permit and that it's issued to me, and will be in my mailbox soon. I got my workpermit 14 days ago, workpermit state doesn't confer temporary status.
I was expecting to get PR approved. But instead I got a letter from ircc saying my documents has been transferred to etobicoke for further assessment. So my question is due to the fact that I've passed all the stages to get PR, how long will it take for me to hear for Etobicoke to assess my application? And do you think its related to my non accompanying child? Thank you.

Hey have u gotten any good news yet from etobicoke, mine got transferred after everything as been passed security criminality infor sharing pass just non accompanying dependant which I did an affidavit for with my lawyer that I can't get thier medical done so I don't want them included on my aplication so I can't sponsor them now or later in future, just worried have not heard anything since it got transferred to etobocoke on 4th September please guard me through is like u have similar issue like mine I will appreciate your response

Files are transferred to Etobicoke for review where there are concerns with the application.

Mine also got transferred on 4th September I applied inland Jan 19th 2024 everything passed security criminality infor sharing pass I did an affidavit with my lawyer I don't want my child included on my aplication because I can't get thier medical done on Feb when they requested, I called ircc to know the status of my aplication they confirmed everything passed just medical for my kids remaining I told the agent I did affidavit on that I was expecting p1 email but I got transferred to etobocoke for further assessment for final decision just worried too, I'm sure the non accompanying dependant affidavit I did is the one delaying my application but have seen cases like mine that the lady was sent a declaration form by ircc to sign and send back stating she can't sponsor the kids in future, I'm sure that's same declaration I'm expecting, moment she signed and send back she got her p1 and pr came at last, just hoping to hear good news I'm really worried

My file too transferred to Etobicoke, as eligility in progress. its over 2 months haven't heard anything. No interview, no email no calls.

My file was transferred there too November 2023 and I got an email from them December 2023. Sometimes they’ll take some time to reach out to you and sometimes they won’t.

Keep your fingers crossed they contact you soon however when your file is transferred IRCC sends you a letter to let you know that you application is now out of normal processing time and there’s no timeline on it no more. So it doesn’t matter if it takes one year or three years it’s all up to the office in Etobicoke to finish up your application and there’s nothing we can do about it at this moment other than wait.

I haven't received any email for transfer yet.

Oh okay, well in my case when mine was transferred I received an official letter from IRCC stating the obvious and then exactly one month after Etobicoke reached out to me via email and requested additional documents. Hopefully you’ll hear something soon, in the mean time maybe go online and request your GCMS notes to see the most recent activity on your file.
