It's probably cheaper to do it yourself. Or just pay the fines.

If it is your first offense, you can ask the judge politely to reduce the fine to minimum and/or offer to enroll in traffic school as a sign of goodwill.

I don't agree paying the fines if you did not commit the offence. In BC, paying traffic fines might increase your auto insurance premiums.

As in BC, you need to register a dispute form so that you can appear in the traffic court to fight the fines. You can request for interpreter. Just be prepared and you might win. Good luck.

In the end, you can even sue or complain the police officer who ticket you.

Lots of places on the Danforth claim to be able to help, especially at the east end.

Order a disclosure report (officer's note) and prepare your defense. Do a little research online. It's not too hard.

It is very not good to hire a lawyer or someone for this cause as it will cost more. The big thing is why to hire, if you can do it yourself?

Do it yourself needs time, knowledge and self-confidence. If you don't have them, hiring a lawyer may be a viable option.
