No he is not the eldest son.
Looking for some help here, if not immediate family and strong community, what else in general counts as strong ties . Could you please help. Thanks for your responses. Much appreciated:)
If you are the eldest son and they don’t have a home there will be concerns that your parents plan on living with your longterm. Having to return to a home country to receive their pension although if not a substantial amount still not a great tie.

I am the youngest, I have another brother who's in the US. So with this logic the one elder than me is in India which gives some reason for them to go back I guess

What we often see is parents in your situation trying to go between the US and Canada without spending much time in their home country. IRCC is aware of cultural considerations so if your eldest brother was living in India and your parents were already living with them you could argue that for cultural reasons they will live with your eldest brother for the rest of their lives.

Another option people say is (which is also the one I tried) to have a return ticket added in the application. I booked return ticket with KLM. They have flex fare, which is 100% refundable before travel date.

IRCC is pretty clear that they discourage booking tickets before approval. Also doesn’t help that much because as you point out you can cancel or change booking times. Many also just absorb the cost of the return ticket if they plan on remaining in Canada.
