i have heard after getting LOA from college we must pay one year fees instead of one sem to make sure our visa doesnt get rejected ..how much true is that ??

University's requirement is to pay the fee of only 1st Semester but to secure the VISA, one should pay the fee for 1 year = 2 Semesters so that Embassy minimizes your rejection chances based on that ok he/she has paid fee for one year, they are really students and will go...study... and will come back...

I guess this is a case. Might be someone else could guide us more :)

I have doubts that this is relevant for visa officer, since it is not hard evidence that you are genuine student, because technically, after landing in Canada you can withdraw your studies and ask from university/college to refund your money!
It is a plus off course if student pays fees in advance, but I think it is not crucial point for visa officer to approve or reject your visa.
It's just my opinion.

Belex... Hmm it sounds right I guess. It could be an edge in VISA processing if you have paid fee in advance
