AED 700/- per adult
AED 320/- per child

Did you book an appointment and specifically inform them that this is for CIC?
Kindly request some guidance on the procedure..

And would you definitely only suggest Al Zahra (Sharjah or Dubai?)

Tomorrow morning, me and my family will be having the CIC medical examination in Sharjah.
For appointment, call them and set an appointment.

Will let you know details once done!

Thanks everyone for replies!!!

Hi Ali,

Did you get the medicals done? How was the process?
Do they work on Saturdays or what are the timings?

how long does it take?

Process was very smooth,
1. At reception of "Primary Clinic" (6th floor new building) we were asked for original passport.
2. Photos taken by the staff, Information sheet listing examination required (Medical, Chest X-Ray, HIV and Syphilis (VDRL or RPR) were provided and then Consent letters were signed,
3. General examination (Height, weight, blood pressure, temperature)
4. We were given lots of papers, bill and containers for urine samples. Bills along with payment are submitted to Cashier at reception. Urine sample put at designated place
5. We were taken to laboratory for X-Rays and blood sample (adjacent building), after which we were checked (questioning and physical check) by Dr. Abdullah Davoodbhoy.
6. I was informed that results will be uploaded within 2 working days. (I hope everything went well and our results are excellent)

All process took less than two hours for 2/2 family.
Al Zahra (Dr. Abdullah Davoodbhoy) highly recommended.
Eat healthy and drink lots of water.

Now waiting for TLU and PPR.

Thankyou so much Ali.. that sounds fairly smooth!

So can you book 1 appointment for whole family? When I called at reception they told me if its 2 people, it had to be separate (maybe they didn't realize I was referring to a couple)..

I'm planning to go on a weekday after work.. apparently he's there until 7.30 pm so that's good.

When did you finally submit your application? How many days after doing the medical was it?

Sorry to go a bit off topic: Can you also help me with what you did for bank letter? My bank isn't willing to give a letter stating the avg balance for each month... so have got another whole list of letters that I'm getting (reference, balance certificate, 6 month statement, no liability)

I'm also wondering when to request the PCC.. am still waiting for ITA, but want to get as much done asap.
Thanks a lot!!

hi - just another question.. what was the medical type category that they put for you at Zahra?

Was it Family EDE?

thanks

Hi Ali

I have few questions in case you have time to reply...

----- Your profile shows that you live in Abu Dhabi, then why did you choose Sharjah for the medical exam? The appointment date, the medical fee, or previous feedback??

----- Do you think it is a good time to go for Medical test once we have received ITA (Invitation To Apply)
----- Do we need to fill some form beforehand and take it with us? Do the have E-health system or they work with papers?

Thank you

It’s 700 AED per adult. If you have tattoos, there are some additional blood tests for 348 AED.

I second that. Would highly recommend Dr Abdullah Davoodbhoy. Very courteous staff and smooth process. I had taken an appointment for a Saturday morning 8:30 AM for my wife and I. Apparently, we were the only ones scheduled for that morning. It took almost 1 hour in total for both to finish everything as mentioned in the above post from Ali. Reports were sent to us via email on Monday.

I also had a really good experience with Dr Abdullah in Zahra Hospital Sharjah.

I got ITA 2 days ago and was researching different options. For a family of 5 (Including 3 infants), it would have cost me the following

Abu Dhabi 2950 (800 per adult, 450 per infant)
Dubai 2425 (795 per adult, 250 per infant)
Sharjah 2340 (725 per adult, 325 per infant)

Even though I'm from Abu Dhabi, I preferred going all the way to Sharjah to do the medical for the following reasons.

1) Abu Dhabi is way more expensive than other options.
2) Abu Dhabi and Dubai require relatively more notice for booking appointments. Also, both of them were closed for two weeks for Eid holidays so they were not available for next two weeks any way.
3) Sharjah came highly recommended on this forum. Price is competitive for UAE.

I had a very similar experience to other forum members. They close at 4 PM in Ramadan. I called them and they said arrive by 2 PM. They also confirmed that it doesn't matter if we're fasting as none of the tests will be affected by the fasting. However, due to traffic, we reached at 3 PM. I was expecting them to refuse us but still made the walk to Building A 6th floor reception. Luckily, the staff accepted us. The entire process for 5 persons was over within one hour and we received the e-Medical forms for uploading in the system right there on the spot. Dr Abdullah was very courteous in face of our noisy toddlers. I thanked him for accepting us and being polite during our appointment. Thanks to this facility, I was able to complete this important task now rather than 2 weeks from now.
