Dear Forums,

I just got word from my MP that even though all the work has been done, that my background check is still pending.

It was a bit surprising since they have been working on my file for a while.

Anyone have any experience with this?

yes alot of ppl are in the same position as you so dont feel down at all....you are not alone
 
Problem is that my current work visa expires in three weeks.

I've had this job for 3 years and i'd hate to lose it two weeks before i become permanent.

It depends, they are currently not hiring new staff and are downsizing left and right.

It would be a great excuse!
