Guys,

I'm about to submit my application today, but I'm not sure if I have to pay $550 or $550+$490 upfront. I would like to include the Right for Permanent Residence as part of the certified cheque I'm attaching. Is there any other way of paying the RFPR fee? if I add 490 to the certified cheque would it be considered the RFPR without any note explaining the amount (the form fee does not include RFPR)?

Option 1: 1 Certified Cheque $550

Option 2: 1 Certified Cheque $1040

Option 3: 1 Certified Cheque $550 + 1 Certified Cheque $490

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for replying! Yes, I wrote a cover letter explaining (table) why I'm attaching two different certified cheques. Hope it helps!

Why are you running into potential problems? Do exactly what you have been told to do. If it is application fee, then pay application fee. If it is RPRF then pay RPRF. RPRF will be due in about 9 months, what will you do if the requested amount will be different then?

Why are you crediting the government for almost a year. Invest 490 CAD or put them in the bank. The CIC will send you emails about 8-9 months from now requesting medicals, biodata, RPRF.
