heynewtone i agree with rao says.. This is not funny at all.. We Pakistanis shud b at par with other international students, we have the intentions, the funds and the merit to study in Canada. They shud not treat us like we are cheaters or terrorists. We go under a lot of stress when we have applied for the visa and have to wait for such a long time. It is so discouraging and depressing. We are being discriminated among other Asian countries. This is unfair and injustice. If the visa officers are serious in granting Visas, they shud also take the processing times in consideration.. Although I have applied two weeks b4 but students like rao and alinuz who are wating since 2-4 months, it is sheer injustice on the part of CHC.. Anyways we shud all have faith in ALLAH.. InshALLAH u will get the reply soon rao..
@ tzmarri like I said before different regional offices have different times to respond, now if you guys keep this whole idea of terrorism/cheaters/fraud/liars etc in your head then Canadian immigration is not to be blamed for this. You'll have to understand all regional offices don't operate at the same pace. Thats unfortunate but saying things like its because Pakistanis are cheaters/terrorists is not right.tzmarri said:

Maybe they were verifying the authenticity of his documents that's why they took 4 months. A perfect and straight forward case should not have taken more than two months , these guys are more professional thank you think of. U applied three weeks ago and u wanna get Ur visa next day. Have patience but don't be desperate to leave your homeland
@umar yes I know but they also have to make sure documents are genuine, people are genuine and most importantly everyones case is different you cannot judge all cases the same. You just need one person who have not filled out application correctly or wrong dcuments submitted or fake documents submitted and everyone has to suffer. You have to understand its not easy and it takes time, I have been through the process by saying things like Pakistanis are terrorists/cheaters dosen't help either parties. If you feel Canada is not a country you want to study in your most welcome to go elsewhere with your money, Europe, US, Australia etcumar39 said:

well newtone.. V are not desperate at all, v are also nt trying to portray tht Pakistanis are terrorists/cheaters.. These words may sound acrid but they are somehow true, the visa officers do have such perceptions abt us.. Tht is why they take so long.. They even dnt respond to our e-mails.. Like umar said tht they shud atleast reply us or let us knw abt the status of our application.. Our parents have blocked a lot of amount in their bank accounts in order to let us pursue our dreams.. We r nt able to concentrate on other things, trying to wait fr the visa.. It is quite depressive sometimes.. Even straightforward cases do not have any guarantee tht they will get Visas.. Atleast CHC shud find a way to keep the applicants updated.. And yes rao, the verification if documents is a lame reason, it can never take 3-4 months to verify documents.. Also keeping the original documents for so long blocks us from applying elsewhere..
