:'( HEY everyone please help me out in some question.................... I am going to apply PR for Canada Cook basis. My lawyer asked me to sign the contract and they will apply my application with OLD RULES which going to change in end of this APRIL. can any one help me that i can trust on lawyer and give them fee to apply PR now.
I have enough time or not??
Please reply me as soon as possible......

New list may declare after 1-May-2010. Cook is eligible to apply now.

You can send file to Sydney as you it reach before releasing new occupation list.

What charges your lawyer ask to pay for this service? and where are you from?

thx for reply me. currently im living in Brisbane, australia. Lawyer fee is $2500. for me my wife and my son. what you advice to do??? And one more thing that if i apply from my lawyer what doc need to send first do i need all documents or just application form plus do i need to pay Canada immigration at first when i will apply my file or after some time???

I think you should apply yourself. Yhis forum helps you more than any lawyer. Now cook is still on the list but anything can happen. if you dedicate 2 days to filling the form you should be able to complete it. some said new occupation will come out april 16th others said may am not too sure of exact date but uts very near.
yes you need to pay your application fee immidiately so you can save from lawyer and use it to pay to CIO canada. 550 per adult and 150 per child total 1250 dollars. This money must be paid as at time of submission of application form, you either issue a canadian bank draft or you pay through a credit card. You dont need to send any document now but only the application form. you can sne your application through DHL to ensure it arrives Canada on time.

thx a lot for your advice and time. i have one more question if you don't mind could you please tell me i got 2years and 8months expereince in cookery plus 2 years exp in computer network administrator then i leave that job and start doing cookery job in restaurant due to some circumstances i just need help can i show my experience in IT or it will interrupt my file i just only need to show cookery exp. what you suggest? Pluse im going to show my education in computer science as well. to get some more point so please advice me.

you have to show all your experience.....its not going to effect u.....

Fill out the following 4 forms forms

* Application for Permanent Residence in Canada [IMM 0008] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008egen.pdf
tips:1.only u ?(principal applicant ) will fill the form--
2. Category-choose economic class
3. visa office :u can choose australian visa office...or if ur home country is india,better to choose india(and visa office is new delhi)
4. family members are ur wife and ur son only


* Schedule 1: Background/Declaration [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 1] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008_1e.pdf

tips:1. you and your wife will fill this form.i assume ur son is not 18 years of age
2.In this form complete all your address,education,work exp accurately


* Schedule 3: Economic Classes [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008_3e.pdf
Tips 1. only u will fill this form
2. u need to include only those occupations which lie in skill type 0 or skill level A or B of NOC

3. Check what are duties of cook-NOC,and its better to write all the duties written over there....i think in case of cook..its not so complicated...u musr have done all the duties

you and ur wife will fill this form and in this form u and ur wife will write about your brothers and sistets too

1. Actually my wife in pakistan and im in australia. so what you adivce that my wife fill the forms there and send it to me and then i fill the other portion?
2. Do i need details (full name / date of birth etc) of my wife brothers and sisters as well or just mine ones????
3. Where should i apply for PR in Canada high commission sydney australia or i have to send my application to Canada????? (becouse im living in australia).
