Indeed, waiting is so difficult, my application is still in Sydney! Btw, they required me to pay RPRF, and supplement RCMP PC, this is quite strange since this step usually occurs in CPP-Ottawa!

Hello All,

Just a question. Is anyone aware of any case where PR is rejected for any QSW applicant? Because I have not found any such case on this forum. And if you are aware please share the details and reason.

The reason I am asking this as recently VO asked us for additional documents second time. And this time they have asked to provide details to show intent to reside. Following are the questions:

Where you intend to live
What schools you have looked at for children.
How you have prepared your children for entering education under the French school board
How you have prepared yourselves to enter the labour market in Quebec
Evidence of any French language classes/preparation

First of all it is strange that we are being asked for the intent as we have been going through this process for over four years. It took four years to get CSQ. Shouldn't this itself show our intent to stay in Quebec. Why would someone waste four to five years of life, not to mention the efforts, doc prep, cost etc if they did not have any intention to reside.

Secondly all these were checked by Quebec when they issued CSQ. So why now by Federal?

Before this additional doc request, we were asked to do Medical and pay RPRF. Medical is done and already received. RPRF was paid upfront so informed VO for the same.

Guys this has made me nervous and giving me headche. After such a long journey no one expects this.

Your thoughts please....

And wish us luck as we are so close to make Quebec our new home. Kids are so excited already and I have no courage to see their broken heart if something goes wrong. And not to mention my own heart :-[

Note: We applied from outside Canada. App is at LVO.

I got it! My CoPR was in the mail today!!!

I am ecstatic :P

Will cross the border (and back) this weekend :)

Can you guys give me some advice on what to bring? I know I will need my passport, CSQ, CoPR and work permit.
Will I need proof of address, funding, etc?

This forum and thread has been great, I wanna thank you all! Sharing here has helped with my impatience but now I am on of the lucky ones! :-*

Congrats Rebetha!! :D Check my reply to the other thread! :P I wrote that one before seeing this one :)

Hi, I personally didn't hear of a case where PR is refused if CSQ is issued. These might be routine questions. Don't worry too much. Besides, my understanding is that they do not refuse an application without giving first a chance to the applicant to defend themselves in an interview or something. So at this point, this seems to me just regular questions, especially that you come from Pakistan which uses predominantly English.

All the best!
