Ahh! Lucky!! I'm so excited for you! Does that mean I am gonna get mine in early September already?! Geez, that would be amazing! :o

Concerning your funds, I guess that really depends on the officer from what I have heard. Bringing it along certainly won't hurt! Also, I'm gonna bring my work contract in order to demonstrate that I already have an income here. Don't forget to post your landing experience! ;)

Good idea with the work contract. I will do the same :) And I print my account movements from the last 3 months I guess, salary etc appears and shows I am self-funded ;)

I hope you will get yours soon. I just checked the tracker and according to yours, you shouldn't have to wait much longer. I keep you posted :)

Hello guys,

Thank God, I finally received my PPR!! I'm so excited! :D :D I received the email at 7.14 pm yesterday night!
I know it's extremely frustrating for the PPR, I had to wait 5 weeks since DM. I hope you all get it very very soon.

I'm going to Canada Post in a while to mail my passport. I'll keep you updated when I get it back.

Thanks for everyone for showing their support and for sharing this journey :)
Congrats!!! Finally~

I got it! My CoPR was in the mail today!!!

I am ecstatic :P

Will cross the border (and back) this weekend :)

Can you guys give me some advice on what to bring? I know I will need my passport, CSQ, CoPR and work permit.
Will I need proof of address, funding, etc?

This forum and thread has been great, I wanna thank you all! Sharing here has helped with my impatience but now I am on of the lucky ones! :-*

When did you send your passport? I sent mine on June. 30 but still haven't received it yet.

Hey MagicSpore, my country is visa exempt, so I didn't have to send my passport. All I have to do is take my CoPR and cross the border :)

Hope you won't have to wait too long! Good luck :)

Hi Guys,
Just FYI regarding the recent Police Certificate requests that was sent to some people last week, I emailed CPC-Ottawa that I already sent them PC with my app and asked them if I should send new ones, they responded with the following:

Dear Applicant,

Your application is in queue for processing. If you did submit your police certificate when your submit your application please ignore the previous request for police certificate.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received, we are unable to provide a status update to you. The officer responsible for your file will contact you if any action is required from you. Please note the standard processing times for applications for permanent residence within the category in which you have applied are available on our website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-ec.asp. Your application was received November 5th, 2014. In the meantime, please ensure your information is kept up-to-date, particularly if there is a change in your marital status or in the event of a birth or death in your family. You must also advise this office of any change to your contact information, such as a change in your residential or e-mail address.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,

Hoping for the process to complete quickly for everyone. Good luck!

Hello,

Did you ask them about the Police Certificate of Canada ? As we did not submit it with our application.

In my email I sent them a copy of the PCs I sent them and asked them to let me know if I need to send new ones or if I need to send PCs from Canada.

They responded with the message:
"Dear Applicant,

Your application is in queue for processing. If you did submit your police certificate when your submit your application please ignore the previous request for police certificate. "

Also, if you look at the following link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

Under Canada it says:
Do I need to provide a Police Certificate with my Application for Permanent Residence? No

So based on this I won't be sending any PCs to them.

Back to waiting.

Hi everyone, my application has been in process since June 23rd, and still no news. Does anybody know if this is normal? from this forum I see that people usually get decision made shortly after. I'm starting to get worried.
