Congrats MarcoJec and thanks for sharing!
You need to complete 10 posts before the option to edit your info shows up. Almost there ;)

All,
I put in a few stats in the tracker document. And have tried to predict the expected days until we all receive word about our PPR based on the average calculated. The more information the spreadsheet will have, the more accurate this value will be. Let me know what you guys think

I calculated the average time it has taken for people who already have their PPR from the time their meds were received. and then calculated the number of days left for everybody from the time we completed our meds and they were received. :)

Don't you think the last contact is a better way to calculate it?

I imagine if they are requesting additional documents / RPRF, it means that they are really working on your file, right?

Yes but there is not Mich data on that. Not everyone has input that information. Besides, since the visa expiry is dependent on when you did your medicals, I thought a more reliable approach would be to see by what time since the medicals people's files were being finalized

Makes sense. Thanks for the initiative!!!

Hi guys , I received a weird letter from cic saying :

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for the application for a visa for Canada. In order to complete the medical examination portion of the application procedure, we require further medical reports as outlined in the attached document(s) (for the individual mentioned in the attachment).

Please print out the attached document(s) and this message and present it to the panel physician who did the initial immigration medical examination at your earliest convenience.

In exceptional situations, you may utilize the services of another panel physician used for Canadian immigration examinations (http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx). Exceptional circumstances include: moving to a new location making it difficult to visit the original panel physician, or the original panel physician is no longer available.

Sincerely,

I did my last medical examination on Feb 28 2014 and the doctor said everything's good showing in my report.

So why did they ask me to redo ?

I think though it's inaccurate to calculate an average based on ALL visa offices. Maybe you can have two tabs (sheets), one for people who have their files submitted in Canada and one for ones outside Canada. For example, there's someone who has mentioned Nairobi as his visa office. His timeline is most likely different (possibly, very different) than that of those whose visa offices are Sidney/Ottawa.

You are correct but I will need more and more data for that. Data is the key my friend. I only have one entry for Nairobi while all the others are for sydney. Also, no matter what office you are doing it from , the fact remains that your visa expiry is based on your medicals. So as more and more people add to the spread sheet, i will may be have enough data to separate by VO. Like the FSW spreadsheet which has like a 1000 entries.

I just dont have the data for that now.

What was in the attachment? May be its because your medicals expire in 2 weeks and it might take them a couple more months to finalize your application.
