I went in process in ecas on July 3 2014 and still no news either!

yeah, I am in QSW. I acquired the CSQ under PEQ last year.

Hi,

One possible reason for such a delay could be that, the number of new immigrants coming to Quebec at this summer was numerous. Maybe they want to keep a balance with the population of new immigrants throughout the whole country. Therefore they have put Quebec to the end of the queue after summer.

I have seen nobody getting PPR since late summer this year under QSW, otherwise other classes such as Quebec investor or entrepreneur or family.

ali_manu, interesting insight into possible reason why no QSWs are seeing ppr since the summer. I still have hope to hear about ppr before the end of the year, December will be my 20th month since federal application was submitted!

I don't know either why QSW.

Have you tried contacting CIC. I mean if I were u, I would definitely try to inform CIC. My file hasn't reached its 18th month and unfortunately I can do nothing but to be patient. However I think your file should receive high priority by CIC.

I haven't checked with CIC just yet as I have been advised by our law firm Cohen that it is still within reasonable processing time even though we are on the 19th month now .... but that we will reach out to CIC if we don't hear from them by early January. It's definitely worth the try and hope it at least gives some attention to my file.

Yeah I wish my application was given high priority

Hi

I received an email from CPC asking to send a copy of my valid passport (optionally a scanned copy through email).

This gave me a binary feeling: Hope-giving, because it is the first communication from CIC in last five months; but also frustrating, because I had sent couple of emails with my passport attachment to CPC-Ottawa, once I renewed my passport. It has become clear for me that CPC does not always receive people's emails asking to update their file. Otherwise, they should not have asked me to send a copy, when I had already done that.

Any similar experience anyone before?

Thats great to hear someone finally from qsw getting the pass request. Happy for you ali. Can you please share ur timeline with us? I wanna know how long did it took for u after med are done to get the pass request. Thank you

Hi

Thanks for your nice message. But I want to clarify that it's NOT a pass-request yet. The email I received is not in official format NOR asking for an ORIGINAL passport to be mailed. It is just asking for a COPY of passport. They sent me this because the first passport with which I applied is about to expire, therefore I need to have a valid passport for the rest of process (and hopfully pass-request).

This is my timeline

20 Nov 2013: App Received (with CSQ-PEQ, inside Canada)
8 Jan 2014: AOR + MED request
23 Jan 2014: Med done
15 May 2014: RPRF asked
19 May 2014: RPRF paid
12 June 2014: Request for missing document (completed by 18 June)
2 July 2014: eCAS went to "In process"
27 Nov 2014: CPC asking to send a copy of valid passport
Decision Made:????? (not yet)
Passport Request:????? (not yet)
