I think initial review means Eligibility once your eligibility is passed your file goes in process. and after that criminality and security. once everything are passed your file goes for final review(PPR).when everything is ok you gonna get ppr.

Congratulations. So it seems that they are moving on outland applicants. It took you 18 months! Well this a clear indication that there are two piles there.

My return tracking number was activated today. I sent the passport on November 15, and today December 3rd at 18:44 it was "processed" at canada post in Ottawa.

I'm hoping I will get it tomorrow or after.

Did you recieve PPR? I know you got DM in Oct but never get PPR. So you send your passport before receive PPR? I thought you have to send the PPR email with your passport, no?

I never got PPR. DM was on October 21st. I waited 10 days they didn't send me anything. I sent them an email, and waited two weeks but they didn't reply. So my representative advised me to send the passport anyway. She said the decision is made, and 99% approved, so we might as well send it! and we did! It took a little under three weeks, and my copr issuance date is October 21st. It took 17 months all in all.

I don't know why I never got the email, but what I learned is once DM, then they're ready to stamp the passport, you don't need PPR. Ofcourse, if it was in your favor.

Wish you all the best. It's gonna come, just be patient, it's on the way. Believe in that!!
