Does anyone know how long it will take to get PPR after they change status to "in process" ?

It is depending on cases. They have to do security check too (i dont remember i read somewhere about this). My case might be faster because they only have to do my background check within Canada. This is just my prediction. Cross my finger and wish everyone here luck. Btw, i just read a news today saying officers in PR department are moved to Temp residence department to help due to the strike. Hopefully, things will move faster soon since the student visa season is done.

I don't think is due to security check, because as far as i know 'in process' means that an officer has opened your file and start looking in your applicationn, the security check comes after ...anyway i have to wait and see

I don't want toshatter your hopes and I wish your files can move faster than mine.

I haven't lived outside Canada for more than 3 months since I was 17 years old. I am married to a Canadian and I do have a Canadian baby as well.

I applied under QSW in July 2011. They started processing my file in February 2013 and I am still waiting for PPR.
I believe that sharing timelines won't help as this process completely depends on your luck.
Some people finish fast and others wait for no specific reason.

Wow. That sucks. But it is really strange to take that long under Quebec Skilled Worker program. So your Medical result should be expired by now. Did you have to redo it? Did you contact OPP? What did they say? Because they said if it takes more than 20 months (processing time), you should contact them

wow,

congratulations for quick processing of your file. It really depends upon your case. It can be due to background check as you are in Quebec for last several years and has not stayed anywhere more than 3 months. Obviously your Quebec degree would have played its own role.

It can be due to his PEQ program, I applied under general CSQ program and completed my degree. It may be his professional degree which is in demand. It took me 10 months to get my CSQ. I am in Canada for more than 4 years and never left Canada.
