So what we infer from this? RPRF means no progress in application processing? Guys who applied from July, 2012 to January, 2013 all get RPRF request at the same week! We all have to go through the long 19 months processing time.

I think you are right..

hi folks
seems like the guy who collects RPRF only works once in a while. i also received my RPRF on 18/6.

Maybe Stephen Harper just needs a bit of cash to pay for Canada Day or something.

guys, I am beginning to worry that we are all getting RPRF at the same time!!! Do you remember in the past Medical exam was normally the last step before PPR but now they ask for Medical almost right after AOR? what worries me is that maybe RPRF no longer means that your application is being processed or is about to lead to PPR!! they are maybe simply receiving so many pressure from applicants about their application and they are giving us false hope for now!! ??? ??? ??? ???

Lets get mentally prepared for atleast six months before we "RPRF request guys" hear anything back from them.

Hello everyone :)

I am new to this forum but I have continuously followed the forum and the posts from you all.

Please find below my timeline for the federal part of immigration:

Application sent to CPC Sydney (Inland QSW): April 13, 2012
AOR and Medical: June 01, 2012
Medical sent: June 16, 2012
Medical Received on E-CAS: July 10, 2012
RPRF & Personal History Request: April 10, 2013
RPRF Reminder (Almost like most of you out here): June 18, 2013
PPR: Waiting...

Welcome to the forum Sampri, this forum is specific to the QSW, CPP-O applicants and very useful for us. Just one question: So they request RPRF from you in April and then again give a reminder in June, or you paid RPRF in April (upon their request) and still they give you the reminder in June?

Thanks and yes, this forum has been very helpful. Now, getting back to your question, they emailed me a request letter on April 10 (RPRF+Personal History) to which I replied them the same day; however, they sent me another email on June 18 saying that my RPRF is outstanding and that I must pay it before the visa issuance. They sent similar email to most of the people whether they were 2011, 2012 or 2013 applicants. In May 2013, I emailed them to acknowledge the receipt of the required documents and I got a reply the next day saying that they have received the RPRF and Personal History. So I believe, the RPRF reminder was some kind of an error.

I have a question, especially for june 2013 RPRF guys: do you normally receive some email from them saying they indeed received RPRF? I guess ecas doesn't say so.

Nope! You need to send an enquiry via email, they will then reply you with an answer. Make sure your questions are specific.

sampri,

you actually have me worried right now. I applied about the same time as you, June 2012, and I just received an e-mail "Reminding" me of RPRF about June 18, 2013. But I had never received a previous request for RPRF and I thought this "Reminder" is strange.

Now that you say you received it too, but you also received a previous RPRF request, I don't know what to think anymore. Has anybody else received just this "Reminder", without having previously been informed of RPRF?

I am even more worried that you are right and this is just a move from them to get some fast cash, especially since the email says to hurry and pay. But my application still only shows Medicals Received so i'm afraid it's gonna take a long ass time until PPR...

Hi brebu,

After I saw a bunch of people sharing on this forum that they received the RPRF reminder as well and that on the same day(JUNE 18), I got confident that its surely a spam message or just a way to get some money coz of the ongoing PAFSO strike. Once I paid RPRF, I emailed them to confirm that they received the payment and I got a reply with a yes, and still received a reminder after a month. P.S. dont worry, its not only you; there are so many people out here who received RPRF reminder without any RPRF request email before that. What I would suggest you is to pay the RPRF online and email the official receipt along with your personal history details since the application date. This will help speed up your process a bit. Now, as far as E-CAS is concerned, its really unfortunate; they emailed me a request letter(RPRF+Personal history) on april 10, 2013 but the ecas was still the same(APPLICATION RECEIVED) until yesterday. I even doubt, it got changed (IN PROCESS) yesterday coz I changed my address online a week ago and it got updated 2 days ago.

I see two addresses on my E-cas( mailing and home address, although they are both the same). Whats up with the two address display?!? Any ideas?! Anyone?!

brebu:
i received a "reminder" without being asked for paying RPRF previously. I think this is just a standard template which they are using:

"We wish to remind you at this time that your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa.
Important: Please disregard this message if you have already initiated the appropriate actions and are in the process of finalizing your payment.
Please note that if you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may expire, which would delay the issuance of your visas. We therefore encourage you to pay the RPRF as soon as possible, by following these steps:
......
......"

We have some news. First one is we are in process in ecas at least, the second - they asked us to send them a prove that me and my husband really together. I was shocked.
