Don't be too focus on that, look some 2012 applicants already got their ppr despite Ottawa timeline.

i agree with the_boss, it's depends on our personal background and travels.

thanks for your comment. I think we are missing a point!! what they told me is about when our application begins to be reviewed!!! of course, after your application goes under process your background has effect on it but right now, many of our applications are not even being processed!! they're just sitting there, waiting and waiting!! :(
also sounds like the exceptions that we see( meaning some application being processed pretty quickly) are mostly certain applications that are put on rush because of the work field of the applicant (like diamond applications).

Hello,

Can you please elaborate on what "Diamond Applications" really mean?!

Thanks.

It's a category including work field which are most needed in Quebec and QC government put priority on their application and ask the federal government to speed up their process. some fields such as chemical engineering, etc. There's a part in CSQ which indicate if your application has a high priority.

You mean remark in CSQ like that "Code 130. Dossier visé par traitement prioritaire - domaine de formation." I do have that...still waiting. I think priority stops at provincial level.

THINK DITTO

Also got csq with that code 130, did my studies here and still waiting

Hey guys,

I post my timeline to share and give you some hopes.

Category............................:Quebec Skilled Worker
Visa Office.........................................:c pp-ottawa
AOR Received...................................:27 SEP 2012
Med's Request..................................:02 DEC 2012
Medical Results have been Received.....:12 JAN 2012
App. in process..................................:22 JAN 2012
RPRF and Passport request..................:15 Feb 2013

Thank you all guys for your responses. The code 130 is not the priority. I have the code 130 too and my work field wasn't among top priority ones what so ever. So the priority is not the code 130.
Thanks harvie, things are not sounding very good right now!! I really not need some good news right now!! any kind of activity on my application!!

My e-cas shows "in process" since Januray 14 2013, does it mean that they have already started reviewing my application or what?
Also when I emailed them on January 12 2013, they sent me a typical answer "your application is in progress in our office....blah blah"
What do you think?
I also got my CSQ quickly due to the priority given in my field (Civil engineering) but I don't think it's that a case in federal parts.

do not worry pal. i think you will be the next one in receiving the RPRF since in many cases it took 2 months after being in process then they ask for the passports. hopefully by the next month you will get it and do not care for the e-mail since it is a generic reply.

@Harvie. when do you expect to receive your 1st GCMS note? actually i am anxious to know where they are now :D
