I've been following the discussion for a while now and I thought I would post my timeline to give you guys some hope. Many of you are around my timeline and I think you will hear from CIC soon about your application.

congratulations and thank you Boss for sharing us your time line, i ve some questions for you and hope u do not mind answering them:
1- what is your country of origin and still u live there or u are inside Canada at the moment? this my help us to figure out the reason behind the fast processing of ur file.
2- did your e-cas status changed from application received to in process to decision made or directly from application received to decision made?
3- what is the e-mail address that u received from your RPRF? and did they ask you to send the passports to your local embassy or to send it for CPP-Ottawa?

Hello all,

Congrats to those who got their PPR, what is unexplainable is that applicants prior to June/July 2012, i.e. similar to my time line (May applicant) are still waiting!

Any ideas why is that ?!

Hi Disaac,

I'm originally from Argentina, but I've been in Canada for 3 years as a student. No my ecas hasn't changed and I'm not sure if there was a malfunctioning or not as I dont check my ecas regularly.

All the application processing was done at CPP-Ottawa and that's where all the documents (incl. passport) are required to be send to.

Hope this help, my advice to you guys is not too worry much and I'm sure you'll hear from them very soon too.

I don't think, being already in Canada will change our processing, unfortunately...
It's more a matter of chance

I don't think that's quite the reason, I went to school here and I worked here and it's been almost 8 years in Canada and I'm still waiting !

Hi Bolul,

Was your application sent to Buffalo first? I think processing times vary between person based on how much background and security checking they have to do. For instance, for you they have to check with your country and RCMP as well, in addition if depending how old you are you might have list down more info than me for the last 10 years like many more travelling etc.....All that said you should not be worried, at least you know your medical passed and you'll have it soon.

My gut feeling is that Kookie, QC-student_PEQ and Harvie will heard from them very soon too, assuming you guys requested CPP-ottawa instead of Buffalo.

The application was sent to Sydney then forwarded to CPP-O directly for processing, never went to Buffalo as far as I can tell! But who knows!

The hardest thing is to wait,but we don't have much of a choice do we?

Hey guys,

I have a bad news, (at least for me)!! I asked CPP-O for status update and this is what I was replied:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.

Your file has been transferred to this office in Ottawa for processing. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before 1 September 2011.

Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

Case status:
An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office, unless you fall into one of the categories listed below.

When should I contact CIC?

You must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:

. Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or a divorce;
. Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number);
. Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;
. Decision to withdraw your application.

You have the option to withdraw your application at any point in the process. You will be refunded the RPRF if you have already paid it.

from my previous post, I realize that my application might will be processed after Aug 2013!! so until then nothing!! that really sucks!!

Don't be too focus on that, look some 2012 applicants already got their ppr despite Ottawa timeline.

i agree with the_boss, it's depends on our personal background and travels.
