hallo a9magic first of all WELCOME in our forum.. :D YES it means your app is in process.... this is standard Email..

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know how can I pay the RPRF in advance to speed up the process?
I hope this process doesn't take more than 3-4 months. They rejected temporary resident visa for my wife 2 times because our application is in process for PR.

Dear Colleagues,
it is my pleasure to join this topic and i hope that we can follow up with each other any changes or updates to figure out the estimated processing time
here is my time line

CSQ: 09/07/2012
Federal Application to Nova Scotia:23/07/2012
AOR: 31/08/2012
Medical Request from CPP-Ottawa:07/09/2012
Medical Sent: 18/09/2012
E-cas: Medical received 14/10/2012

as i understand, almost all the applications for PR which been field after 01/01/2012 is directly forwarded to Ottawa CPP, so whatever was the country of origin the processing time will be the same for all the application. it is good idea to keep all our information in one tracker so we can predict when each one will receive his upcoming update
i wish you all the best

Dear Colleagues,
in order to follow up with each other , i created a tracker for people who are enrolled under the category of QSW and their Federal files being processed in CPP-Ottawa, please revise the table for the dates and further you have any updates please inform me and i will keep this table updated in order to track the progress of files. please mention to me your country of origin which might help in predicting their own way in finishing the processing of files.
Mendi, u did a good job, hope u do not mind sharing u ;)

My status in e-cas changed to "in process"

We received your application for permanent residence on May 17, 2012.

We started processing your application on January 14, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

I am waiting for the good news.
I didn't pay for RPRF yet, should I pay it in advance to avoid further delays?

Congratulations dear friend, wish that you may hear soon from them regarding the PRRF, but i did not understand the sequence of the dates and i appreciate if u explain it. first when did they received the medical, what is the exact date op updating the e-cas with 'Medical have been received"?
and it was mentioned that they start processing of you application in 14/01 which sounds strange to update the e-cas just right now though it is in process already since 14 may!!

You can find the reasons in previous posts.
It showed medical received on 14 January 2013. I send my medical December 4 2012.

i see now dear friend, this is good sign that they start processing files of 2012, i assume that if there are no pending files of previous missions in your country , then we will hear good news soon about visa. cause for example people who applied for Buffalo office still have pending cases from September 2011 but for example in Egypt the first mission which waiting for visa is may 2012, i think Iran is the same like Egypt in this point.

I have a lot of friends (from Iran) who applied for the Buffalo office in 2011. And They are still pending for decision. But I don't think their cases will affect my case because when I called "call center" they said that we consider those applications as outside Canada, while your application will consider as inside Canada.

sorry a9magic, would you explain the last sentence cause i did not got what u mean by considering files from inside Canada and outside Canada. thank u
