Hi everyone,
I have 2 years experience abroad and 1-year experience here in Canada. I am planning to apply for pr now. but apart from the experience letter or letter of reference, I don't have any proof like salary statement or bank statement or income tax statement to support the experience I had abroad. I received cash for my salary. May I add a line to my letter of reference stating that I received annual pay of a certain amount or what is the best possible option here to prove my experience abroad?

Adding your annual salary is one of the requirements of the reference letter anyways.

but is it mandatory to provide salary statements while we apply? what if I don't have one?

It is not mandatory but it will be up to the VO to decide whether further documentation is required.
