Hi Everyone,
I am trying to see if i am eligible to apply under Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category for 2014. To apply under FSW category is it manadatory to have work experience within canada..? when i tried to check my eligibility criteria using the wizard at Canada Immigration site, it asked about work experience at canada(which i dont have) and finally told I am ineligible to apply.

But when i looked at FSW eligibility criteria page, it appears that I am eligible to apply as it is not saying work experience should be in Canada. and my occupation is also within the eligible occupations list.

I am not sure why the Wizard telling i am ineligible to apply, can some one please clarify me on this..

Thank you,
Pavan.

No - it is not mandatory to have work experience in Canada.

Make sure your occupation hasn't reached it's cap. If your occupation has reached it's cap, then you'll need a job offer in Canada.

Thank you for your response..Yeah the Cap is already reached for my occupation.I am planning to apply during 2014. Not sure if they again invite applications under FSW program in 2014..

Thank you,
Pavan.
