I believe hopeful4 was quoting from MI-2 rules, as it was only 500 per occupation is MI-3. Both are already superseded by MI-5.

Hopeful4: i am indeed hopeful now for the 2013 applications because my background is in management. and so i belong to NOC 0. and so I will start collating my documents as soon as possible. and also my IELTS.

hopeful4: this is looking good for us! at the last intake, there were caps in priority jobs. now applicants will have to fall under NOCS 0, A & B but still a cap overall. how much cap is that, we will see. the wipe out of pre-February 2008 applicants must have been included in this equation. if the federal court does not certify for a class action suit, then all pre-Feb 2008 are terminated effectively then the backlog is solved and CIC can now afford to up the cap, targeting younger applicants while the older ones like us are heavily penalized for our age. oh la la la.

by the way, are we going to apply under NOC 2011? what can you say farmerofthedell on this?

I am definitely gonna apply now. I will book the ielts for my spouse and me within days.
For the education assessment we will have to wait until the certified institutes will be announced.
I encourage those who pass the 67 mark to reapply . THis is a faster option than winning the class action*(if we ever win)

THis means that only those who have Canadain education will be able to apply in Jan.
This is not fair to other applicants , as this is a compitition now because of the cap.

farmerofthedell: you see, thought atty. tim leahy withdrew my case from the federal court. it has not been withdrawn. now i am going to pay him what i owe him. my sister will take care of it.

I Booked the eilts on 1st of December. Now I Have to make a miracle and achieve 4 8s in order to pass
It would help if my husband takes the test and achieves only 4 (which he can do very easily ).
But he is so stubborn and he does not want to reapply!

God help me

BTW, don't be pressured into filing just because Tim already filed for you. You can email him about your concerns first, wait for his answer, then make your final decision.
