Here is my timeline:

Arrived in Canada: Nov 14 2009
PR Card Approved: Nov 10, 2011
Applied for Citizenship: Jan 2014
Judge hearing: June 11, 2015
Decision made accepted: August 7, 2015
Received Federal Court papers: Sept 16, 2015

I had a hearing with the Judge, they needed more info on my residency while in Canada. Since 2009 until January 2014, I was only outside of Canada for a total of 43 days. The judge asked me to prove my residency in Canada and a translation of my passport. I submitted every document I have proving my residency and also my translated passport to the judge. I checked my online e-client application August 7 2015 and it changed to decision made. I contacted CIC call center September 2, and stated that the judge made a positive decision and I am being scheduled for my oath ceremony. A man showed up today at my home and gave me papers for a Federal Court hearing. It consisted of The Judges decision and her notes and why she has approved my application, as well as the Lawyers name and contact info of who will be representing Immigration Canada. There is no date for a hearing in federal court, but it states: Application of leave, and for Judaical Review. I contacted a free Legal Aid place in my area and he told me that what probably happened was they didn't like the judges decision and are appealing her decision. Has anyone else had this happen? I have no idea why they don't like her decision and the papers do not say why they are appealing. Should I be contacting an immigration lawyer? Please help!!

You should absolutely contact an immigration lawyer. Did the papers they served you state clearly why you are being called to court? Documents like that need to lay out very specifically the nature of the case you are supposed to be answering to. Seek proper legal advice as soon as possible.

I contacted a well known lawyer in my area, and he said tomorrow he needs me to go into his office and give him the papers I received and go over the info. The paper does not say exactly what it is that made them want to dismiss the Judges decision. All it says is, "Under the citizenship act 22.1." When I looked that act up on CIC, it just explains all the things I already know about the Application of leave and Judicial review. I spoke with my local MP office, they told me that I have 10 days as of September 15, 2015 to seek a lawyer. (They contacted the opposing Lawyer and thats what they told her.) After going over all of the papers I received no where does it clearly state why her decision is not acceptable.. wish me luck with my lawyer tomorrow.. do you have any advice??
