Hi,

Can you please help to understand this situation.

My lawyer filed a case in Federal Case because my application was refused.
Now Department of Justice agreed for settlement and my lawyer asked court to close the case.

During this period my medical is more than 1 year old and my IELTS exam also now 2 years old.

Can you please help to know do I need to with medical and IELTS again or what should be the next step.

Thanks

*This is just my opinion, but you should talk to your lawyer.*
If I understand correct, IRCC has agreed to re-open your case, right? If so,
For IELTS, that should be no problem as long as it was valid at the time of the original application submission.
For the medicals, in regular cases, IRCC may have the right to ask you to re-do your medicals. However, in this case, it is IRCC's fault the application is taking too much time so that you medicals expired. So, as long as you were not asked to re-do medicals, there isn't a problem. However, if IRCC sends you a request to re-do your medicals, you should challenge this decision and ask them to extend the validity of your old medicals since it not your fault that the application processing has been since forever. Since they agreed to re-open the case, it is clear that they have made a mistake and they should be responsible for all consequences including the expiry of your medicals and IELTS.
To summarize, you don't need to do anything as long as you were not asked for medicals or IELTS. If you receive a request from IRCC for them, you should consult with your lawyer and see your options to challenge this request. All this is based on your decision if you want to re-do medicals or IELTS or not.
Good Luck!
