Noelisa,

check with your college, after OPT expires u have a grace period of between 60 and 90 days before u r required to leave the states. U can also request extension of your OPT if your program is on the list of approved courses. Check that. The last option is to apply for adjustment of status from student to visitor. If u explain to immigrations authorities that u r just waiting temporarily. They may approve.
Thanks

HI Folks, This is my first post here in this website.
Congratualtions to the ones that got their PR cards and good luck to all of us in this process.
My time line is as follows,
CSQ RCVD on April 10 2011
Federal buffalo sent on June 5th 2011
am still waiting for the AOR.

I have one question if any can help, it would be great: Can i do the medicals before i receive the AOR, just so i can gain few days in the process?

Hi and welcome on board
To rec AOR you need to wait about 30 weeks from the date they recd ur app. As it stands now they seem to be sending AOR to those that applied in March. If u want to do med in anticipation plz be aware of the risk. That is if they don't finalise ur case and med expires, u might have to do it again at VO request.
Unless u have an major issue with waiting, I'd advice u to wait a month or so before doing it by anticipation. At least u'll avoid worrying afterwards as I do.

to do the tests by anticipation, u first need to call 2-3 DMPs and ask if they accept. Not all will and not all have the forms. U may want to shop around for cheaper places too and closed by locations. Then opt for the one with more openings and have him/her add Client ID so that the result won't be lost.

nothing new from my side, i am pretty sure that this delay is caused by our actual status for sure 1000% >:(

NB:my address is still missing in my e-cas

@okwama2002

Thank you very much okwama2002. Yes, my program is on the OPT29 list but unforunately I did not care to extend it because I "knew" I was not going to need it, I WAS WRONG. I started this whole process more than 2 years ago. I am due to meet my advisor this week and hope we will work something out. Once again thank you!

Noelisa

My address is gone as off yesterday and there's a new line saying "medical results received". Has anybody else got the same thing?

No news in my side, and I getting a bit frustrated cause as from this month my status is implicit (waiting for the new study permit, which will take 2 months)... and as I have nothing to do at the moment, every day I just checking email hope my lawyer send me the good news. But hey, as I always get the forwarding email 15-17 days after the actual stamping date, I still have hope to get the good news in cpl days :) finger cross.

Sigh! Yup I feel your pain gedubruk! Currently you and I are the only ones who got the final assessment letter and then silence and no sign of ppr. Ah well, God gives everything at the best time so we continue to wait patiently :) Hang in there!

Yes fairooz, I actually don't see any reason for us not to get the request by the end of this month. By the way, as Clement007 try to figure the pattern here, are you also in status implicit right now? if yes since when if you don't mind sharing?

Fingers crossed that what you're saying is right gedubruk! :) I'm on a post-grad work permit
